If you follow these simply and easy follow rules this wont happen to you:

Police, who were responding to reports of a mugging, say Dumas came at officers with a weapon and they shot twice in self defence.

Crystal McManus said she was just a yard or two away from where Dumas was shot.

"(He was) right in front of me. He dropped like a brick. That poor boy," she said.

McManus said police officers were yelling at Dumas to put his weapon down, but he didn't listen. She said the officers pepper-sprayed Dumas three times, but he kept walking, while holding a black-handled screwdriver in his hand.

McManus added that she thinks Dumas was shot because of a sudden arm movement he made.

Really though the native community is trying to turn this into a racial thing but the kid committed a crime, ran from the law, resisted arrest, pulled a weapon in very close proximity to a cop, and refused to put the weapon down when threatened with getting shot.

The cop was backed up against a snowbank because hey its canada and all and had no where to go and police training videos show that a suspect with a stabbing weapon are capable at that distance of attacking in less than 1/2 a second.

But they try to turn it into a racial issue of a cop shooting a native youth and they fail to realize that the cop is Metis which is a person of mixed aboriginal and french descent.

I'd buy into that except that I can go about anywhere in the world and find some dude wearing a Nike t-shirt, walking into a McDonald's.

Popular culture is culture nonetheless. Corporate logos and advertising jingles play a greater role in developed nations than oil paintings and operas.

You do have to admit that the CBC's "video" was pure crap. The Al Franken in tears part was simply the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen that waste of space pull. A "documentary" filled with commentary of all opponents to a new competitors presence is the stuff a radio station would pull, not a government backed media outlet.

Even the way this article is written is junk. All these people are talking about "the O'Reilly Factor and show's relationship with the truth" like they are making stuff up. Calling out someone relationship with truth makes it sound like some sort of huge lie or weird right-wing interpretation of the truth.
But Bill has to "resort" to bringing on 2 people who agree with him.

The only quotes they pull make the whole thing sound like some sort of sensational story Fox is pulling.

Its an ongoing battle that is going to get ugly pretty quickly. My guess? Another sex-scandal involving Bill suddenly arises in the next couple of months.

oh man, this reminds me of a kid from school earlier this year. I could not pull up the article, long deleted, but ill try to recall it from memory.

The person was breaking into cars in a business area of town late at night. The cops see him, so Chris naturally runs like the wind. He is running down the street, when he sees a public works truck. He grabs a fire extinguisher off of the public works truck, and starts to spray the cops with it.

He runs even further, and eventually reaches the post office parking lot. The cops mace him, but he keeps running. He manages to run across a busy street into a different parking lot, where the cops maced him again and then tackled him.

The next day at school, everyone printed out the article and laughed their **** off at him. This kid always thought he was such a badass, and always thought he was above the law. A bunch of friends and I went out and got a bunch of really cheap fire extinguishers, and put them on his front porch. He came back to school a week later, and his trademark long shaggy hair was shaved off. Why? the pepper spray was all cought in it, and it was so strong he had to shave his head.

Ahh, the stupidity of people.
