Hate them. This is the sink or swim forum. Let 'um sink if they can't figure that out.

They just become something that veteran posters refer new posters to....everyday. Also add the people who can't post that same reply in a better manner. "OMG nOOB, read teh stickies!1!!!!1"

Stickies would be awful in this forum. It's great for advice on jobs and all that kinda thing... But the Asylum is live and let die!

Meh depends on the topic for the sticky, if it's something amazingly important and interesting then i'm all for it, but if it's just to tell people some crappy info then it's stupid.

I've seen the stickies in OOT they are just to tell n00bs about stuff they are incapable of finding themselves, we don't really need that in the ***-ylum.

Don't care for them myself. I'm with Git on this one: Let the bloodletting begin.

I think that's what you get when you date men who look like they are the second string for an international muslim extremist group. Not that she deserved it, but it should definitely come as no great suprise that he needed to get funding for the next hijacking.

BTW, in a completely unrelated observation, what must that say about you as a person if you aren't good enough to make a suicide squad? What would you have to do in training, throw the grenade, not the pin?

This post would be sheer genius, Moe, if only you had managed to tie it in even a little bit to the OP.

Thumbs down on stickies.

Besides using the thread as one more way of proving you want to be the bigest jackhole on the forum what exactly did this thread have to do with them?

You should make a sticky that says, "If your reading this your a fucking moran."

Au contraire, mon rake wielding frere. That was a supremely funny post by Moeb. Equating Skeeter to be being a forum stickie is a demonstration of the sharpest of wit, causing one to wonder if he was even cut or not-- at least until the moment Skeet attempted to move and his head plopped off. RACK that!

Ah, so that was the tie-in! Dirty Stage four must be affecting my intelligence.
Well then, I RACK it as well.

Don't worry, Git. If having the love of my life ***** me over in ways heretofore unimagined didn't break me, I think I'll be okay.

Viva la Revolucion! Brown people of the world unite?

At any rate, conceptual relativity being just beyond our grasp today, allow me to bring it down to brioche level.

Kao made it relavent when me wrote wrote:

Because you would have to be trying to be obtuse to have missed what is, regardless of the segue we are currently running amuck in, the topic of the day.

/bow

Thank you, I'll be here all week.

Down with the stickies. I agree with Git, let em sink if they can't swim.

I think the topic of the day should be that it's my birthday. Not that I'm important around here. Smiley: cry Someday! /shakefist

As for stickies, it depends on the forum. In a place like this? Nah. What would you sticky? "Hello, we've got a bit of a 'tude at times and like to argue."

But for others (example: the FFXI tradeskill forum), they're great.

And allow me, for the record, to point out that I am not entirely insensitive. A certain member of our small informal community has mother issues and suggested as much after a joke. I no longer tell him momma jokes (even though they explain so much in hind sight). So, if it's too early for you to enjoy us laughing at the humor that is to be found in your pain, I can give it a couple hours.

Stickies in the Asylum? There's no reason for it, unless as said above, it's the most embarassing post you can find from others.

As for the gaming forums, yes please. I am sick of going to the WoW forum and seeing the same damned ******* post 3 times a day, when the question has been answered 435 times, and in different languages. Just sticky one and keep it there. I've stopped going there as I sit here and bash my head over the idiots

Smiley: laugh Proof's posts hurt more than yours, although that is due purely to the sheer awfulness of the quality. Reinman is also on your bandwagon, although yours has bells on it.

Maybe once a month bump and sticky (ooh, that sounded so dirty when I said it out loud) a "classic" thread that was either very entertaining at the time, or shows how very, very wrong one of the arguers was in retrospect. Some of the political threads from last fall might be good for that.

The one thing I'd suggest is that no thread that devolved into a "last" fuckfest be qualified.

No sticky, unless it's strictly limited to stating that this is not a EQ/EQ2/FFXI/WoW or any other game forum.
