I think other countries are not so much "more free" as "less imperialist-in-denial". It's not really bad enough for me to move to Canada yet though, plus I need a little more job experience before I can immigrate :D

Free?

We are all slaves. Slaves to greed and slaves to our senses... Our current government is but a bi-product of that.

Think about it.. We are free as long as we choose to play by the rules set about by the standards of society.

People say "OHH If you don't like it, go live in the woods somwhere!". Well maybe I would, if all the woods weren't owned by some bloody capitolist.

No, we are not free. If you think you are, then give me some of waht you are smoking.

Just curious. What is it that you want to do now that you are not allowed to do that you were able to do before?

I assume this is some commentary on how the Bush Administration is taking your rights away.

That's about it, if I felt my rights were being threatened then, just like everyone else, I could do something to change that.

The only country that I feel would offer me more freedom is Redyne Island, too bad I can't afford it.

I love the US. In all my travels in the world, I have found several places to visit but no where I would settle except here.

Care to clarify this? In what exact ways are things "getting so bad"? Has the Gestapo been around to check your papers lately? Do you get harrassed by the police everywhere you go? Do you have to have papers to travel within the country? Do you need to explain to the authorities why you are on the street? Have you been brought in for questioning and asked who you associate with and why?

I'm serious here. In what way has your freedom been reduced in the last say 5 years? What can you not do today that you could to then? What rights have you lost?

Sounds to me like you believe you've lost freedoms purely because you're listening to people making that claim (also with no facts to back it up). Stop letting others do your thinking for you. Look around you. If you see something "wrong", then make an issue about it. But blanketly stating that you feel that your loss of freedoms has gotten bad, without being able to say what freedoms you've lost or how is a bit silly, don't you think?

Chicken Little would be proud I suppose...

no, actually, I concede and agree with you pretty much 100% Youshutup.

As for me... I don't thing many people would be privy to give up material luxuries for dancing and singing in the woods for all of their lives.

I fear large portions of my brain may be dying from shock.

Oh god the horror! To feel ones intellect slip away like this. The slow erosion of all I know and understand.

Words and meaning evaporate like a warm summer rain, faces drift by, who are they, why do they seem to have meaning I cannot fathom? Names! Names and dates are lost to me!

Oh God why me?! Did I deserve this? I can't tell!

Why it so hard to think? What happening?

Git dont no

Some good points but, let me clarify more. BTw I was made baked when I started this topic so I sort of have to think on the go here lol. The entire country is run by corporations. The people we elect are completely controlled. In my eyes thats not freedom cause I really have no say. The country is to glued to tv to even think of gettin off the couch. You look at our prison system. How is that free? Other countries may have it worse but the United States, forget the exact number but its like obscenely higher than any other country the number of people imprisoned.
Personally I feel like a slave to the rich but maybe others have had easier lives than me. I can't get healthcare even tho i work full time plus some. I am in the process of getting my education now tho so maybe things will get better. Its not so much my personal freedoms but everyones. Its not like I think the police will be at my door but i dont see how anyone could think we aren't slaves to the rich.
I think the country is great but the govt is so corrupt now that you will see. ya im baked sorry if this makes no sense

It's not. Those are criminals, they have forfited their rights and had their freedom taken away. Dispite the fact that they get full gym access, TV, Books, a free education... yeah, REAL repressive there.

And what is it you do for the rich? Are you washing their dishes? Maybe you rub their feet.

Or are you saying that if you had all the money in the world that you would then be free?

Stop puffing your weed and think about your answers next time Fuckstick. Or by all means move out of the country. Please. Go. Shoo.
