I mean, come the fuck ON. This is madness.

And imagine, their parents are saying that they should have a say in the disciplining of their kids. Of all the nerve.

Two boys were arrested for making pencil-and-crayon stick figure drawings depicting a 10-year-old classmate being stabbed and hung, police said. The children, charged with a felony, were taken from school in handcuffs.

The 9- and 10-year-old boys were arrested Monday and charged with making a written threat to kill or harm another person. They were also suspended from school.

So if they had beaten this kid up they would have gotten the chair right. I think its time to either get out of the country or to join the Iron Cross regiment that is moving in.

These kids were all apparently "special ed" students. How the fuck can you justify throwing retarded children in jail for crayon drawings??

So much for stickdeath.com...

Special ed. or not this is ridiculously absurd, who made the descison to call the cops? Better violent stick drawings then actual violence committed on a classmate.

Dont they know the kids were only playing Hang Man? What? none of you played Hangman with knives and the answers profanities? I sure did at that age Smiley: grin

The kids gave the picture to the alleged victim to scare him. It's not just a picture in that case. They actually gave it to the other kid as an intended threat. THAT is not protected under the constitution.

I can see both sides. According to the letter-of-the-law, it is a crime. But then there's prosecutorial discretion (if that's real and not just something on Law & Order), which in this case certainly should've leaned towards just letting the kids' school or parents handle it. I sure hope the judge throws this out of court. I guess the prosecutor or cop has a stick up his *** or wants to make a name for himself.

What about Section III, Article VII?

No ****** shall be locked up for drawings made with crayons and the decision-making skills of a ******? Likewise, Ralph Nader shall run for President every four years until bludgeoned to death with a bacon press in an Amish brothel.

and on the note of them being taken out of school in hand cuffs....thats *********** there is no reason that a 9 and 10 year old should be subjected to their parents mistakes..

I say they got what's coming to them. Certainly better than waiting to see if they follow through on their imaginative artwork.

Besides, I don't know how it works in Florida, but this'll be off their record by the time they hit 18. Plus, assuming the kids get community service/parole rather than being put in juvie hall with the big kids, it'll scare them straight rather than mess them up more. I'd like to see the police/prosecutor work together with the kids' parents on this without the children's knowledge, so as not to make the kids think that mommy and daddy will always be there to bail them out of trouble with the police, no matter what stupid shit they do. It's too late for the parents to have a say in this, honestly.

I wonder if that is actually felony worthy. It seems like it would be hard to justify actual intent to murder.

Then again, that's no tolerance laws for you. Isn't dogma wonderful?

this sock needs its *** whooped with Skeet's ***** and then sent to a street corner... it also need to pay more attention to how the customers like their asses rimmed...

and on the that note: hand cuffing a 9 and 10 yyr old is good... I like my young boys hand cuffed and squealing like a greased piglet.

Smiley: yikes

As for the two kids being handcuffed and such... it is a little extreme.

Thank God our tax dollars are being put to good use. Do you realize that they could have inflicted a lethal paper cut?! ***** the murderers and rapists and kidnappers, we need to crack down on this rampant abuse of crayons!

What they needed was counceling, not to be arrested in front of everyone and taken in cuffs to jail. Jesus, you think they were screwwed up before? Nothing like a little post traumatic stress to straighten a kid out. They went way beyond what was neccesary and I hope the parents sue. Good luck and blessings, Prana

I agree... this is way out of control. Even when i was in high school I used to draw violent stick figure drawings as a means of relieving stress. Hell, half my teachers found them as funny as I did. I even made personalized ones to give to friends. Welcome to the new neoconservative America, where money talks, and the first ten amendments walk.

Seriously though, what charges are they being held for? The only thing that could even come close is assault, and even that is hard to press since there was never any verbal threat, nor was there any explicit writings detailing a possible threat. A figure drawing tends to not stand up in court, outside of deciding sanity.

I hope the kids get out, and the parents sue the living fuck out of the school. That was a horrible way to handle things. Those kids, if anything, should have been sent to see the school social worker or shrink.

When I was in 6th grade my friend Jeff wrote a letter to the Skippy peanut butter company for a class project on conservation. He said in the letter that if Skippy didn't switch their plastic jars to more earth-friendly glass ones, he'd send his hit-men after them.

The FBI showed up at our school the next week and pulled Jeff into an office for the entire morning. He told me they kept an active file on him through high school.

Where do you draw the line?
