Well, almost no one is doing this in the venerable (venerial?) EQ forum these days, so let's try it over here. What the hell did you do over the weekend? Can be game related, real life, overactive imagination, blatent lies, whatever. You did stuff, I need something to read. I think it will all work out in the end.

Me, I spent Saturday rebuilding my parents computer up to minimum standards. Not only did I find, to my horror, that they had bought a computer with an integrated intel video card, but they had not defragmented in about a year. They were also storeing 8 GB worth of files ON THE DESKTOP!!!! Got that all straightened away, and now it runs decently. Also talked them into getting a decent video card, as my little brother who is not yet of college age still lives there. Threw in a Geforce FX 5750 256mb, so they should be set

Sunday consisted mainly of putting more things together and up in the new appartment. Put most of the posters/paintings on the wall, set up my wall o' maps in the library room, and got the fish tank somewhat more clean than it was. It still isin't ready for occupants, but it is too @#$%^ cold out to clean it any better, and it isn't coming inside until the sludge is gone...

Got my little brother hooked on EQ2. When he goes off to college in a year or so, I'm hopeing maybe he'll set up his own account. If not, oh well.

So, what did you all do?

I missed a damn good party this weekend due to hellish amounts of snow falling on my driveway. Fortunately the party was moved to next weekend, so I have an extra week to work on my alcohol tolerance.

Basically I was snowed in, and so I alternatley cleared my driveway, and tried to keep warm.

Friday: Took the day off. Used the opportunity to go shoot flying things that go 'quack.' Afterwards, purchased supplies for the weekend experiment.
Saturday: Conducted extensive quality survey of liquors pre and post-filtered through a Brita pitcher.
Sunday: Paid dues for Saturday. Got up about 2PMish. Stumbled around the house for hours with a headache that just would not die. Watched the Falcons prove yet again that they suck and I am a sucker for rooting for them. Bathed the dog, crashed out about 3AM. Woke up at 4AM due to dog fart so vile that I had to shower after putting the dog out. Surfed internet looking for dog diapers and anti-odor food additives for about 5 minutes; went to work.

Saturday I was roped into babysitting my rug monkey of a nephew all day. The only saving grace was that I could get online (yes, is sight of the kid) and my own son was rather good about keeping him amused while I kept an eye on both of them. If you noticed me posting a lot on Saturday, that was why.

Sunday was snow removal off the Driveway of Death followed by a lot of slack-assing about.

Friday -- Had a few drinks with some friend at the local sports bar. Got home about 8ish, and went to Best Buy and spent about 60 bucks on music. Picked up Dave Matthews Band dvd Live in Central Park. Also picked up Rage Against the Machine's last dvd. Also a couple greatest hits CD's, Earth, Wind, and Fire and Elton John.

Saturday -- Played some WoW, watched a movie or two, cleaned the apartment.

Sunday -- Went over to a bud's for football, had to listen to him celebrate when the Pats walloped the Steelers. (Damn you Pittsburg!) Went home and took out my frustration in Half-Life 2.

So did the filtration improve taste?
I'm guessing it was little help for a hangover

Yes, it improved the quality of the liquor substantially. I couldn't tell any difference at all after three filterings, though. The guys who did the original experiment said they got returns all the way to six filterings, but I just couldn't replicate that result. Maybe they had a better filter.

This was the worst hangover I've had in years. This was due, I believe, to the fact that I broke a cardinal rule:

Never, ever drink hard liquor straight while at home alone with nothing else on your schedule for the rest of the day.

I sampled a wee bit more than I should have. If I'm gonna wake up that hung over, I should at least have an ugly woman to hustle off the property.

Friday I had the day off(Exam weeks) and I had a long game of poker with my friends. After all was said and done, we headed to some chickas house for a par-tay. One kid got really drunk and insisted on beating the crap out of the hostess(The chicka). My friend and I had to calm him down and get him home, but he was stubborn and wanted to drive home. We sat him down in his car, we were holding the keys. He sat and looked at us begging for the keys but we would not have any part of that mess. He then proceded to grab a spare set in his car, turned it on and drove away. The hostess called the cops and they found him half dead in a car crash. He ran over a stop sign the hit a lightpost.

Saturday wasn't quite as exciting. I had hockey practice and worked out for a bit. Sat home and studied until a few friends came over. That was about it.

Sunday was NFL day. Though I had hockey and missed the NFC game I got to see the last three quarters of the AFC game. I studied for my social midterm on monday.

This weekend was "lock myself in my room and play Everquest" time due to the snowstorm.

Saturday: the girlfriend woke up and had to leave for work, her brother-in-law picked her up. I stayed in bed for an extra hour or two, then played Everquest for several hours. Logged onto Veeshan, hunted in Nurga with my Necromancer for Chardok faction and a rare drop. Die once or twice, then boxed my ranger down to help. Ended up killing the ranger, too. Stabber Remy still won't give up the damn gloves! When the gf got home, we logged into Morden Rasp and played our newbies there for awhile, working on various newbie quests.

Sunday: The gf got a ride in to work again through the snowstorm, so I stayed in bed again. Made coffee, sat down to some more Everquest. Boxed the necro and ranger in Nurga some more, died again, quit in favor of Half-Life 2. Finished up the chapter with the airboat ("Water Hazard") and am now cruising along withg the dune buggy ("Highway 17"). Ended last night after clambering about that huge bridge to disable the forcefield. Also spent about 10 minutes brushing snow off my car (though I didn't bother to dig it out tillt his morning).

Saturday: Worked friday night, so got home at 7am. Played with my kids till about 8:30am then went to bed.
Got up around 3pm, spent the afternoon playing with the kids. Spent a few hours on the net, in the evening, then back to work by 10pm for the Saturday nightshift.

Sunday: Started the same as Saturday. At about 2pm wife wakes me up. 16 month old is screaming. Apparently our 5yr picked him up, tried to run with him and they bother fell. Result - 5yr has nicely bruised knees and the 16mth has a bleeding nose and a fat lip.
Got the bleeding stopped after about 30 minutes, bathed them both to cool them down (very hot here over the weekend) and all was right in the Lagduff house hold again.
Spent the afternoon watching cricket (Australia vs West Indies) on TV, trolling the Alla's forums and playing with the kids. Again off to work at 10pm.

Actually started my "Weekend" (days off) on monday morning. I now have 3 nights off. Back to work on Thursday night.

OK, inside-out I get. How the hell do you manage to put your boxers on upside down? Do you ride the short bus to school?

Saturday morning i decide not to take Kirsty (this girl at work i'm chasing around XD) out for lunch b/c she had to rest up for her first bartending job that night...i sat around and to no avail, FFXI called my name and kept saying "farmhouse rock" over and over again...i didnt know what that meant so i started playing and i was fine. around 20:00 that night i go over to a friend's housah and we smoked about 2 boxes of Hookah to the face (for all that dont know what that is, its a tar-free, artificially flavored, dank-***, molasses indian tobacco that is smoked out of a "water pipe" during indian religious traditions....iz güd...) not to mention i was messed up off of a half a bottle of sake (...alzo güd...) then i passed out on the fouton of a Winnebago in the middle of a snow storm.

Sunday morning, got up and smoked another 1/8th lb. of hookah to the facial area and got a massive headache/migraine/hangover (...not zo güd...), went to Wendy's 10 hours later and was fine, then went home and started writing a script for a movie with a friend of mine...

Nothing special. Played FFXI and a couple other games. Cleaned the house, yelled at the cats, bought a new light dimmer, took some stuff to the Salvation Army, worked on my novel a bit, wrote my penpal, finished reading Neil Gaimens 1602 and then went a little crazy when I realized I was out of books. Most of yesterday was spent cursing all the powers that be for my internet connection being craptastik making it impossible to play the game and nearly impossible to do anything online. Same old same old. Good luck and blessings, Prana
