The Assylum As It IsFollow

#1 Jan 24 2005 at 7:02 AM Rating: Decent
Slow goings around here lately. There is a multitude of freshly washed ****-socks, a lack of decent posts and an even bigger lack of decent threads.

It seems like the only posts that have any reading value are the ones where people confess their undying love for the old Assylum, and part ways with the sock infested waters of the "new" one.

What's going on?

Well, my thread where I said the Asylum was boring was just me taking the ****. As I've said before, most of the regulars are off doing one thing or another, and so it's quiet around here for now. Don't worry about it.

The bad thing is many good posters said goodbye or just disappeared from the Asylum and the new ones are trying to hard to be "cool" and funny. See all the useless flames, semi-funny posts, spamming the word GFY without style from the newbees.
Yes I'm pretty new too and no, my posts arn't that great. But at least I don't try to copy other posters in a bad way.

Let's just hope the old ones are returning soon. ^^

Trakur, this topic has already been both discussed and satirised. Are you always this redundant?

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I hate to see the old guard go, but many of them will be back; as for the new posters trying too hard to be funny, I agree in part but the way I look at it is, they need the practice. Once they hit their various strides we may have some decently amusing people around again.

Thanks for your hopefulness and faith Sam that sounds good to me. It has been a bit rough but I'm sure things will get better in a month at the most.

And some will remain tools for their entire existence here. Can't be helped.

Who the f*ck are you and what the F*ck have you contributed to the Asylum as it was, so that you can comment on how it is?

I know you are refering to me being a sock but I am not here to start a fight like I did with Bhodi. I am simply going to state that I am not a sock but believe what you will.

Good thing you know. I mean, having a solid understanding of what other people are talking about is key to being a contributing member of any community.

Its just too bad you "know" wrong. Being a tool has nothing to do with whether or not you are the recepticle of choice for a thirteen year old with a victoria's secret catalog and no access to a bathroom. I have no idea whether you're a puppet or not, and wouldn't blurt it out either way. You have, however, been totally uninspired thus far, and unless you learn a lot in short period of time, I fore see another in a long line of complete wastes of disk space.

If you consider any of that a "fight" then you truly do lack what it takes.

I find it amusing that random nobodys who hardly have any contributions, worthwhile or orherwise, are bemoaning the current state of the Asylum. I guess people have to get a running start to catch the bandwagon out of here.

Well, actually, most are people that would never post in the asylum, but sit there and read everything. They are complaining that we no longer amuse them.

Cute, ain't it?

Edited to take out the "we" since Exodus was never amusing.
