Has anyone heard about this? I saw a special about it on TV one day and it looked awesome. If you dont know what it is, check out this website: UrbanFreeflow

Basicaly, you run around a city climbing and jumping over anything you can. Watch a few videos on that website to see what I mean. So far not many people in America know about it, but it looks like it's getting pretty popular in Europe.

Awesome, in fact you should go try some of these stunt right now. I suggest going to the local electric train station near you holding your skate board in one hand and whipping out your **** and pissing on the third rail. It should be an electrifying Le Parkour experience.

I used to do something that, people thought I was a complete freak and cops would stop me frequently. Best time to do it is on a cold winter night with a lot of snow built up. Pads the impact of falls, and not too much gawking onlookers to annoy you.

Yeah, I imagine how a death defying fall from a rooftop, because of a snowy and slippery surface, is the best way to do it.

Well, you have to have some kind of athleticism and awareness of different friction qualities of surfaces to do this. And awareness not to push yourself in terrible conditions. While you might fall on your *** every time you're getting into and out of the shower, some people can actually adjust for such awesome changes as water, ice and snow, and alter their speed and safety of their actions accordingly.

Besides, anyone stupid enough to do this over a very high building deserves to miss occassionally and fall to their deaths.

You do know that people have died falling from a standing position, right?

It's not about the fall, it's about the landing. Land on your neck and you won't need more than your own height to do the trick.

Old News from a couple of weeks back.

You need to see the web-sites from the guy (David Belle) who is credited with sparking off the trend.

Try this link. The 1st video (LeParkour.avi - 40+Mb) is the best I've seen.

Anything with David Belle or Sebastien Foucen is worth a look.

It certainly looks interesting, enough so that I might go make a fool of myself doing it when I have some free time.

It may be ******* cool, but it is definitely of the "do not try at home" persuasion. The advert in the UK at the moment where the guy jumps over the opening roof of the Millenium Stadium is just fantastic. Apparently he had to do two takes because the camera men rather sheepishly didn't get it right the first time!

um, i think MTV (MTV news, some stupid program, i don't remember) ran something about this circa 10 years ago. it was dubbed "extreme walking" (or "x-treme" if you're a ******), and wasn't very exciting or interesting then, either. get a skateboard, losers.

There's going to be a TV special on this comming up. It's called Jump London and will be on TLC at 8:00 pm central time Thursday January 27th. I saw it a few weeks back, and it's about three guys touring London climbing/jumping in famous places. Pretty cool if you're into it... the main guy jumps off the top of an old navy ship without hurting himself.
