well i've been around here some time, but i never thought i'd see this day: the magical five-oh-eight post-count.

i don't expect too many congratulations (other than introspective ones from myself). i know the godly two thousand, three hundred and sixty-five post milestone is still far in the distance. just thought i'd take some time out to let everyone know about me and how i can post things a certan number of times.

thank you to those who posted something that prompted me to respond, and then responded to me, prompting more responses, and so on and so forth. you are the real heroes; i am but a conduit of your innate posting abilities.

erm gratz!?

I officially hijack this thread to a discussion on the declining quality of Burger Kings fries. It was much better when they were trying to copy Mcdonalds 15 years ago instead of trying to come up with their own unique recipe.

BULLSHIT! BK fries, while still disgusting in the grand scheme of things, make it possible for these two fast food giants BOTH to claim "America's Favorite French Fries" (McDonalds via sales, BK via taste tests). This is an integral part of maintaining a duopoly over most other fast food entities. I commend their decision to switch over.

You know who's fries I kinda like? Hardee's. They're growing on me.

Mickey D is still king, though.

Actually I like BK fries nowadays. McDonalds fries are pretty sickly. What really bothers me is the Jack in the Box fries. Their attempt to make their fries seem more like potatoes is pathetic and non-tasty. Their old fries were better.

I haven't eaten at McD's in a ****'s age, so don't really know how their fries taste now. Back in the day, they still weren't that great.

I've always preferred various Mom & Pop greasy spoons for really good fries.

I used to be able to eat french fries all day long. Now they make me sick, no matter what fast food place they're from. I find myself eating at Wendy's more because they let you substitute other stuff for free, like a baked potato. I still don't feel great at the end of the day, but at least the initial nausea is gone.

Best fries I can still eat are the potato wedges from the deli counter at Albertson's. They're more potatoey, so the grease doesn't make me ill. Plus they put seasonings on 'em that are pretty good.

Wendy's normal fries are the best.

But Checkers has the heart-attack inducing yum-yums to put the grease on McD's to shame.

McD's fries are awesome when loaded with salt. DQ have some pretty tasty fries too, only with a milkshake to drink though. I don't know why, it just tastes better.
