Heres the deal.. I post here and there.. most of my posts are positive.. dry humor stuff no biggie.. I rate posts up that are informative.. Or make me laugh... I rarely rate posts down unless I strongly disagree with the content.. My point is this. I rated down a post earlier, and it dissappeared.. wtf? that was not my intent..
Just cause the guys view was different than mine.. I didnt want to vaporize his post.. Is there a sub default number or something that i should know about ?

I think below 2 puts a post on sub-default, which means that people with the default filter can't see it.

Once upon a time there was a forum which did not have a rating system. Retards and Trolls were disarmed through quality flames and they sunk to obscurity through rapier like wit. One day some moron admin decided that a rating system would be a good idea to implement in a new version of the forum. As a result, the little moronites who post here became lazy and cowardly. Annonymously sending the weak to obscurity through rate downs.

The end result is the same, however the overall quality of posting is considerably weaker.

Karma has nothing to do with opinions, but with trolling and spamming. Only rate down someone if the post is plain crap.

To help you with your problem, set your post filter (in the bar above all the posts) from 'Default' to 'Never', save it and the post should be back. You prolly dilivered someone the final push into the sub-default depths. (rating = < 1.50)

I would guess that a good 75% of people disagree with Gbaji's opinions, and the same 75% have roughly the same views as Shadowrelm.

One is a Sage, the other is getting closer to sub default by the day.

Proving conclusively that it's not your views it's the quality of your posts.

The difference between the two is Gbaji actually provides facts to go along with his arguments, and shadow is a dumbass (even if most people agree with his general line of thinking). wooohaaaa!

EDIT: typo.

Attually Gbaji just quotes websites that backs up his opinions, that does not necessarily equate to facts.

Any person that still argues that attacking Iraq because of WMD is not quoting facts he is quoting opinions since all sides agree there where none.

What Gabji does well is justify why he hold an opinion and i respect that.

Would you like a cane and a pipe to go with that story?

Is the phrase "rapier like wit" your idea of...rapier like wit?

I seriously doubt 75% of the forum agrees with Shadowrelm. At least no more so than saying every Pubbie on the forum agrees with the stuff Varrus types.

If you want to come out of the closet and proclaim your undieing love for Varrass you need to talk to him in a way he understands, 1337 wont do it. Allow me to offer you a few key phrases he will respond to with aclarity:

"Me love you long time! Only fi' dolla'! "

I didn't think somebody withonly 90 posts could rate....don't you need 100?

Weebs: rating down a post is generally to make it disappear...as pointed out it's supposed to be used to get rid of trolls and spam, but most people view it as a "popularity" thing.

Oh...and your avatar creeps me right the fuck out!

Simple solution: stop caring about karma, please. For christ sakes, my karma has been around 3.52~3.53 for close to a year now. I've accepted that I'm not gonna be a sage, guru, admin, or anything more than scholar, and I really don't give a damn. It's a freaking number, big deal. It does not correspond to ***** size, mental accuity, or even the quality of your posting half the time.

You can make a beautiful, witty, well supported post and have it rated to shit minutes later because you happened to **** off someone who has an army of sock puppets. The same can happen in the opposite direction for an abesolutely pointless post. Stop worrying about a little number floating on magnetic media in some server somewhere, and just enjoy posting on here. You have to work to be dropped sub default on here... just ask varus. Just posting your opinion won't get you dropped there, unless you're a total dumbass.

So stop whining, and start posting.

/rant off

perfect example to back up scubas. I got rated down because I posted something on cheesecake. Does that mean that my post was bad? Nope, it was just silly. DOes that mean that someone has a huge aversion to cheesecake? Probably not. It was just one moran who for some reason does not like warm cheesecake with whip cream and strawberries, and decided to rate me down because I do. DO you think I care? Nope. I'm still going to eat my cheesecake the way I like it and karma be damned.

Just goes to show you can be rated up or down for the most pointless posts and it really truely makes no matter.
