If you saw the actual Tacosid restaurant with the big mexican undertaker holding a burrito

Would that be the one on Highway 321? I failed to make the connection in the name originally due to the minor difference in spelling and the fact that I'm a moran.

Indeed it is. Actually spelled Taco Cid's. Horrible food.

I spent alot of time in Colombia due to the fact that my brother went to graduate school at USC and one of my best friends went to undergrad there.

Ever eaten there?

Nope. And with the ringing endorsement you gave it, I probably never will. I already know a couple of ok Mexican places in town, so I don't experiment with places of dubious quality like TacoCid. If you want some ok Mexican food, try El Monterey across from Columbiana mall over close to Bailey's Sports Bar. There's another place over on Airport drive that has pretty decent food despite the purple and yellow decor. It's right beside I26 and was, in its previous life some sort of eatery attached to a motel. I prefer El Monterey just because they have a large draft beer that's gotta be close to 1/2 gallon.

Both places are at least run by authentic brown people. Nothing assures crappy ethnic food like having the joint run by the wrong color people.

Now all I need around here is a good Cubano diner. Anyone had Latin America down in Miami? Mmmmm.
