It's the same as someone who becomes a professional dancer in, say, ballet, or on broadway.

Stripping is to ballet as floor tiling is to sculpting. Yes they both involve working with marble but the similarities kind of trail off there.

So you're saying that a woman being an excellent stripper requires little to no skill? While stripping CAN be done free form, it can't be done that way too well (at least not from what I've seen). You can tell an experienced professional from some floozy at the BYOG strip clubs... just sayin.

Well not that I spend a whole lot of time in stripclubs but to me it seems a whole lot more gyrating side to side and rubbing against the closest smooth inanimate object than a highly trained strictly regulated choreographed art.

Are there strip routines that are more complex than your average high school cheer? Do they have world renowned strip coaches? I just find it hard to believe that a woman would put months or even years of training and time into perfecting a routine so that some drunken fat slob can howl out wolf noises, waving a fistfull of dollar bills while dry humping the table.

Then if she's really lucky she can head into a sticky dark booth towards the back and rub her *** on his leg while he talks to her like an oversexed 13 year old till he pops his cork for a $25 half priced lap dance to an old sir-mix-allot track.

See, that's the difference between a low and high class strip club. A lot of women at the big name clubs.. the ones you see in times square, and in vegas.. are professional dancers. The routines are carefully choreographed. On top of that, there is some skill required in moving sexily. Try to move all sexy like the next time you're walking around... its tougher to do than it looks.

All I'm saying is that stripping takes a bit more skill than people would like to give it credit for. Just like competition cheerleading versus normal rah-rah-shish-boom-bah cheerleading. There can be a marked difference between the low end and the high end.

As an occasional patron of these places, I can attest that there is a definite level of skill that must be attained before one can be called a stripper. Most girls off the street look horrible their first few tries. Like anything else, it takes practice. A half-*** attractive girl who knows how to dance gets a lot more tips than a really great lookign girl who doesn't. The bow-wows get their money from the guys who are too blotto to be discerning and those who go for that sort of thing anyway.

Hence the three drink minimum at most of these establishments, so as to better lubricate the wallets of those whose beer goggles aren't firmly in place.

As long as men hand over the cash, women will strip.. Dont blame the women, blame us dopey bastids handin them our dollars! lol (I got this favorite lil blond at Satin Dolls)

At any rate, I would rather my kids' perception of the world to be based in reality.. Once ya got that down.. feel free to pay a stripper, to help ya along with just a lil "glimpse" of fantasy :) My only problem is when i come home from a strip club I am, 1) Extremely horny, and 2) Effing broke..
