Do some of you really think those are Ealges songs, or are you just throwing random songs out there?

I, too, was wondering just how culturally bankrupt and naieve some of the folk here are.

If cultural bankruptcy=not knowing Eagles tunes, then I'll take it.

I hate the Eagles, so I pulled something offa the TOPGUN soundtrack.

I figure you counter one ambivalent social reference with another. Right?

Your ambivalence is irrelevant...

It doesn't count if your culture's idea of music is about shaking dried gourds while riding a llama.

If your idea of "counter" is "make everyone think I believe the Eagles sang 'Dangerzone'", then yes. Yes it is.

I don't care much for the Eagles, myself. Joe Walsh, though, is the fucking MAN.

My Monte Carlo does one-twenty-five,
I lost my license, but I still drive.

Debalic, go out and buy the Eagles live double CD. Joe Walsh comes out to sing that and it is, without a doubt, the best Eagles song I've ever heard.

Fucking awesome.

My dad is a big Eagles fan, so I grew up listening to them. I like some of their stuff, but I wouldn't exactly consider myself a "fan"

That's just creative liberty on my part. I did have a Monte Carlo, that went about 125, and I did lose my license, and I do still drive. I like to sing it my way at karaoke, to confuse people. Smiley: laugh

Actual lyrics:
My Maserati does one-eighty-five,
I lost my license, now I don't drive.

I thought Walsh was hysterical on The Drew Carey Show.

And I often wondered if he knew he was even there
