Idiot sues over Fear Factor episode

I think it’s safe to say that people are getting a little too sue happy.

Austin Aitken told The Associated Press he watches "Fear Factor" often and had no problem with past installments where the reality show's participants ate worms and insects in pursuit of a $50,000 prize -- but eating rats went "too far."

….

Asked why he didn't shut off his television before the rat-eating segment, Aitken said he couldn't do it quick enough.

It makes me not even want to read the news. Maybe I should sue CNN.

Curious, what about the Pig Ovary eating contest? He must have been watching American Idol during that time.

Oh yea, I had to add this,

Quote:
"I just put any figure. You really think I expect to get $2.5 million?" he said.

Sounds like he wasn't in it for the money at all...

I will countersue, Nephthys, because your avatar offends me as a cat lover and smoker. Or something.

As for me, I've been trying to avoid 95% of the FF population here at Alla because they're stupid (much like the guy in the above article), which kinda means avoiding Alla. Smiley: wink2

On a cooking show in Britain, wasn't a human placenta fried up and saute'ed and eaten before?

looked like it smelled good at any rate..

(they actually ate rats?)

Human placenta is very high in nutrients. I actually know a couple that turned the placenta from their first child into stew and ate it. Its also been shown to eliminate the potential for post-partum depression because of its huge load of hormones.

Its used as a tonic in chinese herbal medicine as well.

Meat is meat. Unless its raw. Then its steak tartar.

Well since the world has given me the ability to learn swear words and to dirty my mind with things I did not want to know I think Ill sue it. Ill sue everyone and live the rest of my life in luxory in my squallid pit of filth and disgust.

Seriously: When the woman sued McDonalds over there coffee being too hot you kinda had to get the notion that America had lost its mind.

I think the sheer fact that 1) He doesn't expect to get the money and 2) He's only trying to make a statemtent automatically says this:

The guy is a f*ckin bored Paralegal with nothing better to do than take a chance going to court for $2.5 million in the hopes that he'll get paid for this stupid claim. Regardless, his balls should be impaled for stating that a TV Show made him:

CNN Quote wrote:
...being dizzy and lightheaded -- and vomiting. Because he was disoriented he ran into a doorway, "causing suffering, injury and great pain."

Someone needs to get this guy to take his Sally-*** to a bar to grab a Brew and check out some women, cause if you ask me...he's pretty f*ckin gay. My 13 y/o nephew can stomach more crap than this whanker.

NBC will settle for at least 10k i'm sure. Which makes this guy extra-hilarious, since it kinda sounds like he's joking anyway ("ran into a doorway" from the dizziness.. usually i'm sitting when i watch TV, unless he was fleeing the room at that point)

edit:

btw does CNN HAVE to give you a list of "related sponsors". kinda tasteless to have ads for rat extermination right next to this article, if it truly is about some sissy who can't handle rat ingestion.

The fact that he saw this, and 'flees to the doorway' makes me question him. Besides, he couldn't turn it off in time? What human being doesn't have a remote within reach?

Let's face it...he saw an opportunity to get a settlement out of NBC. Sad, but true...a lot of ppl do crap like this. Hell, I prayed all weekend I would slip on my Apt. Complex's sidewalk and crack my skull open for a lawsuit. Granted it would've hurt like hell...but there's a price for everything Smiley: sly

If I thought it would get this kind of crap off the air I'd sue every single reality show.

Sadly, I can't claim pain and suffering since I don't watch TV.

Now there is an interesting topic... how many people here really could care less if all the TV networks went offline tomorrow..

The only show I have really cared to watch was Carnivale, which is now in it's second season (Carnivale 2) (HBO Exclusive).

It is a weekly show that is only seasonal, so I guess that means that I watch 1 hour of TV a week for 10-12 weeks a year.

Sad thing is I have satellite with premium service and 6 recievers.. (for the wife, kids, guest house etc.) But I could really care less if the damn thing was broken for a month.

Anyone else feel this way? I'm interested in seeing if there is a trend of some sort.

I don't get why eating a rat is any more or less appalling than any of the other crap they eat on the show. And don't they eat big "nutria" rats in Louisiana?

Fear Factor sucks. I'd only watch it if people died on the show while doing the stunts.

I watch some reality shows just because I'm bored (ok, so I like them), and I watch some sports, but to be honest, I really wouldn't care if all of the stations went off the air simultaneously for a month, or a year, or even forever. As long as I have a gaming system or two and a computer, I'm happy. ^^

"Fear Factor" is one of the most idiotic shows. I don't see what eating worms, bull ********** or pig rectums has anything to do with "Fear".

I'm not afraid to eat a worm etc, it just f*cking disgusts me. And challenging my ability to keep from throwing up doesn't really test my "fear".

Otherwise if it was just daredevil type ****, you know, things having to do with fear, I'd love to go on the show.

Hey. You can't discriminate against people who have no eyelids.
