There you go...

Wow...thanks Patrician. Odd that this one never had an entire thread dedicated to it. These people are using massive protests and violence, the Christians using civil means. Nice.

The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Birmingham, the Most Reverend Vincent Nichols, said: "Such a deliberate, even if fictional, violation of the sacred place of the Sikh religion demeans the sacred places of every religion."

This from a religous group that has factual peadophilia? At least they aren't doing an account of Father John showing the choir boys what a 'heavenly shower' is.

You do understand that the entire Bill of Rights was a direct reaction to conditions imposed by British rulers acting under the aegis of British law, yes?

Yes, but we still took as the basic framework of our law much from British Common Law, even if quite a bit of our derivations was based on outlining what not to do.

What I meant by my statement was:

A) that I know very little specifically of British Law.

B) I acknowledged that British law might indeed permit prosecution of an alleged blasphemy violation, but that I am sure American law would not.

I suppose that, when He comes again, Jesus might be able to sue under Libel laws but I'll leave that to Him.
