I do not read these forums that often and I normally cherry pick interesting sounding posts.
Today I read a lot more, and erm .. posted a rant or so

I noticed from reading all the posts today that many posters seem to have avatars of what appear to be 50's American TV actresses. Can someone please clue in the clueless as to why this is the latest fad? I am just curious, nosey maybe

It's just a fad.

There's been a wave of avatar trends over the past few weeks. All the cool kids (and the wannabes) have been adhering to the same theme at once. It's actually pretty entertaining to see what they manage to dig up.

Well, I wouldn't call it a CJ necessarily. The only person I've been rating is Nadenu, and only because she's 0.01 point shy of getting guru back, and I want to be the one to do it. =D

It's the fuzzy math the forum uses. It rounds up or down, so if your karma is 4.3056129 it rounds you up to guru, but then on the next post it might change to 4.3049815, so then it rounds you back down to sage. It'll keep bouncing until we get you high enough to offset that. I always found that annoying when I was just between sage and scholar, but I understand why it works that way. Anyway, you deserve guru so I'm going to keep camping you til you've got a cushion. :P

Movie actresses, for the most part, actually. Though most of them have been changed. I've been meaning to make a new avatar for myself, but am too damn lazy to.
