Thankgiving Blues.Follow

As I sit here and type, I am crying. I have been trying to be in a chipper mood today and go about my usual routines when I realize, I can't.
The holidays are suppose to be happy and spent with your families. I don't get to do that. I am not sad about that though, I am sad at the fact that I will never see my best friend again and Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday.
She died in Iraq. I hear on the news all the time the death casualties, this person is M.I.A, this person in dead. But did they mention Kim? No.

Bless the soldiers and people who lost loved ones in Iraq.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Good point, M'Lynn. Not only the soldiers, but Thanksgiving is a good time to remember the times and experiences we had with everyone who is no longer with us. I lost a grandmother and two dear uncles last year, and I am grateful for the time I spent with them.
Give everyone you know with a heartbeat a hug and make sure they know you love them. No one's life is guaranteed.

Here's some advice. While I do feel sorry for you and your loss, this is not the best place to come looking for sympathy. Most likely, this will only draw the trolls out echoing choruses of "GFY". This is almost as bad as Angry Hippo complaining because his parents don't give him money to buy drugs anymore.

I'm very sorry for you though, and I hope you still have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I am not expecting sympathy by any means, not from here. I just needed to "vent" even if people type, GFY GFY, over and over, at least I got it off my chest.
Writing it in my journal just doesnt feel the same as it use to.

Mlynn The holidays are tough. I am sorry about your friend, It is really hard to enjoy that first Holiday without them. Take the season day by day, and enjoy what you can. I miss military friends, and my fiance. I try not to borrow any more trouble tahn I have to, but it is hard not dwell on the empty places this time of the year. I just try and remember that I am not alone, and that I can hang in there with all the other families with empty seats at the holiday gatherings.

There is not much anyone can say to ease the pain, just remember that you aren't in this alone. Big Hug!!

I get that way around my birthday. My birthday is January 22. My dad's was January 25. Not that I forget about him, but every year, around my birthday, the point gets driven home every damn time that he's gone.

Agreed. the world NEEDS more @ssholes. Without @ssholes, there would never be any progress. Everyone would just suck each other's d1ck, and everything would stay the same. Now, if we could just replace all Christians with @ssholes....

Dear The Glorious Mlynn,

Even though we shall never meet, I know what you are feeling. This will be our first Holiday Season without Mom, who we lost in March.

God bless your friend and all her comrades in Iraq. I wish happiness for you as soon as you can have it.

God Bless and take care!

^^

You sound like Angelash.
Grow up. Don't turn this into a flame thread.

It annoys me when people get easily offended.
