The individual waves travel at their own phase velocity, while the pulse itself travels with the group velocity. In a vacuum all the phase velocities and the group velocity are the same. I don't think they have any other levels but base.
The only way this is possible seems to be to place an electron in a chargable bubble of gas and upon splitting the bubble, the new bubble contains traces of the attributes of the electron, but I don' think they can actually split one.
Either way, you have an intersting question, and I'm too burnt to think about it now. :p
and I was never brainwashed with any Physics classes... I had one in High School, but lol... yeah right, like I paid attention...
