Anybody able to go snowboarding/skiing by them yet? I've got a resort five mins from me and I can't wait for it to open.

Although totally not having to do with previously mentioned topic of discussion, I have found you, Nephthys. Nice to see a familiar face from the OOT FFXI days.

I've been hiding out in the Asylum. A scary hate-filled place with all sorts of as$holes and hippies. Kinda fun Smiley: smile

Yeah I live near a little "resort" near Buffalo, NY. We got snow in the middle of October but none is sticking. The place is called Kissing Bridge if anybody's heard of it

Yea, I did some poking around and got a lead. The main FFXI board has gone way downhill though, it's sad.

That's a scary thought. Most everyone that I know is quitting the game and moving on. BTW, never mention the F-word here. Smiley: wink2

Yea I've noticed. I'm getting a feel for this place.

To not highjack too much, I went snowboarding once a while ago, I liked it.

We dont get enough snow here to go until like mid-late december, and its mostly fake snow....

Have any of you ever tried to teach anyone to snowboad. My gf wants to learn but im pretty sure its just gonna be a big pain in the ***. Kinda like when you see other guys tryin to do it and are trying to hold their girl up the whole time..... I mean its kinda embarrassing.

My buddy taught me about 3 years ago. It is a little slow at first, but if the balance is there it should be no problem. All in all, it took me about 1 hour to face my board straight and learn to cut back and forth w/o falling consistently.

Well I took my lil bro when he first started and he picked it up pretty quick, but we had been doin it on little hills since we were little on those things that look like skateboards w/o wheels. Actual snowboards are a lot easier.

My gf on the other hand...Im not sure shes all that balanced. I donno I guess we'll find out.
