Because nothing good happens. I am too old for presents or money from extended family. It is raining and I am sick.

Happy F*ing B-Day to me. Smiley: frown

Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to GFM. At least I'll get something out of that.

26 is da bomb, unless you irrevocably suck. Then it's just icing on the suck cake.

Either way, Happy Birthday.

Seriously, were you raised by wolves?

HAHA

I had the same rant when i turned 26. (turned 27 last month, and it's no better)

My theory was that 25 is still rounded off as "early 20s". You can still think back to 24 and 24 sounds pretty young. 25 still sounds young too, cause 5 years isn't a long time anymore when you're 26... so you figure, 5 years ago you were only 20.

Suddenly you hit 26 and BOOM, you're Over the quarter of a century mark, you HAVE to realize that in LESS than 5 years you're gonna be 30...

Yeah, I feel your pain.

Oh and Happy Birthday, GFY

it seems your sadness would be with your regardless of what age you are.

got to fix that first before having a good birthday.

26 is the first year that you can really use the "at least I'm not 30 yet" defence. Don't let it get you down. I had to go through it recently too. Just think... You're still young enough to get yourself in trouble, but you're old enough to have the money to bail yourself out again after. After 3 months of reflection on it, 26 really isn't all that bad. Besides, at least you *can* GFY. Mine's not long enough. So that should cheer you up some. :D
