The Love God is OFF the marketFollow

Sorry ladies. There will be wails of female anguish across the world tonight. It would appear that I have a girlfriend. No more philandering, no more shag buddies.

The story has a slight twist. You may recall that my best friend, and the love of my life, who I never had enough balls to proposition, got engaged recently. Well now she is married. Lovely wedding. As fate would have it I was asked to read a soliloquy of love during the service. The irony was not lost on me, and I got thoroughly drunk the night before.

Anyway, she and her new husband placed me on table with an old and very good friend of his. I am seeing some parallels here, I wouldn't be suprised if there was some feeling in the past between them. We hit it off like a house on fire, and have been seeing each other ever since. It has now gone beyond dating, she called me her boyfriend last week. She is a lovely girl, and I am very happy. We have lots of mutual friends, and we are already planning ahead to next year. This has marriage potential I think.

Slightly disturbing is the fact that she has university pictures up in her room, which have my friends husband in them. Haha. Ouch.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

So sorry to hear your sad news Pat.

If it degenerates into the depths of 'commitment' or even worse, 'honesty', we'll be here to console you.

Meanwhile, give 'er one for me.

(Okay, congratulations!)

it saves time to say what you mean
I know it seems so unrefined

Oh come on!
Everybody knows that No means Yes
just like glasses come free on the N.H.S.
But the more I look through them the more I see
I'm becoming more like Alfie

Once there was a time
when a kind word would be enough
And once there was a time
I could blindfold myself with love
But not now - now I'm resigned
to the kind of life I had reserved
for other guys less smart than I
Y'know, the kind who will always end up with
the girls

And besides
everybody knows that No means Yes
just like glasses come free on the N.H.S.
Bu the more I look through them the more I see
I'm becoming more like Alfie
Oh come on!
