No, they're just fanboys. I'm one of the regular posters on the FFXI board, and for some reason most folks there blindly agree with everything I post. Even if I'm dead wrong. It gets annoying after a while. Same thing happened while I was posting on GameFAQs. Nothing's more irritating than presenting a well-thought-out, long and involved post and getting "omg u rock Sobbu!!1" in response. <shrug>

And Totem, I just wanted to apologise for being an *** to you in your thread. Nevertheless, it was fun. But let's try not to do it again any time soon. The admins are having to eat the flak from it from the FFXIers, and I'm sure they have better things to do. Still... no harm, no foul.

I wouldn't call them sheep. Well... Ok, I'd call them sheep. Some of them anyway. Yes, FFXI-players tend to be a bit more immature than typical MMORPGers, but that's not true of everyone there. And yes, the average I.Q. and age of Asylum patrons probably is higher than the averages of FFXI main board patrons. Still, there ARE worthy posters over there, which is why I keep coming back. The whinging and ******** is kept to a minimum, compared to GameFAQs or KillingIfrit anyway. And until Kaolian said something about periodic FFXI invasions over here, I didn't know that sort of thing was going on. So, if I'm the "designated leader" of the FFXI board, then I owe you guys an apology. Especially for the fu[/b]cktard that started this topic.

I can certainly appreciate Totem's intent when he created his topic, and I didn't miss the humour value of it like most did. But I thought (at the time) that it wasn't in very good taste considering how hard I (and others) have been working to try to clean up that board some. I enjoyed sparring with him, and having lurked in the Asylum for some time (but having never posted, you ******* gots some scary sh[b]it goin' on up in here, yo), I have a healthy respect for his intelligence. I just felt his topic was counter-productive to what the sincere FFXIers have been trying to accomplish with that board.

Nevertheless, I probably went over the top with it, so I do apologise. If you guys will give me a chance, I'll try to encourage them to stay the hell off your board. But just remember that, other than the 50 or so really good posters over there, most people on that board are immature idiots. So I guarantee that you'll still get the periodic 'new toy' to play with here. Just try to go easy on them, they're fragile and puberty is a difficult enough transition for them to make without you guys shattering the tenuous grip they have on their self-esteem.
