here are the facts, make your own decision....
fact, in florida, if the electorial college cannot decide on a winner, the florida legislature decides who gets floridas votes, REGUARDLESS of who won the majority.
the legislature is currently republican dominated with republicans holding 17 of the 23 seats. IE, bush stays in office unless the election beats the mandatory recount margine, and legal issues challenging the validity of the election can be solved.
1. there is no way to do a recount in dade and broward counties, the two largest counties in florida, vote wise. gov .jeb bush fought to not have a paper trial attached to our new electronic voting machines.
2. 60,000 absentee ballots for broward county were "lost" in the mail. 65 percent of the absentee ballots in election 2000 from broward county were for Gore.
3. the largest county of democratic voters, duval, recieved only "1" early voting site for the entire county, and it was downtown, where parking is expensive.
you make up your own mind. mine tells me this election, for florida anyway, is being hijacked before it even starts.

I think you're overreacting a bit.
Though, I'm a bit worried about the electronic voting machines. It wouldn't be too hard for one of the programmers to just transfer one vote out of every 50 for whatever candidate to be a vote for the other. This could potentially cause the wrong candidate to win certain states. The last election proved that just a few votes can change a lot.
Even if this is discovered, it's very easy to write the original code in such a way that you wouldn't be able to figure out who really should have won. If you replace the 50 in my example above with a random number between 20 and 80 that is reselected each time a vote is transfered, you can't mathematically decide how many votes were transfered (without making assumptions).

Wouldn't that punish Republicans more then Dems? Would seem to me that poor people would ride the bus more then middle class folks. Wouldn't putting the polling place in an area with minimal and expensive parking be more likely to deter middle class voters living in the suburbs more? Most "poor" areas have the best bus service in my experience. And downtown areas (the ones with the expensive parking) also have excellent bus service.

I think the point was that it was in the most heavily Democratic area resluting in less overall votes due to inconvienence, not that Republicans were more likely to pay for parking.
But then I have the ability to read for comprehention instead of attributing wildly fantastic hidden menaings to things, so you probably came up with something diffrent out of that.
