Of course Schilling would endorse Bush; he's from out west (born in Alaska, went to school in Arizona) and makes $12M a year. He wants to avoid paying the taxes is all.

I have a job, I'm at it right now, and I too would like to keep what I earn. Unfortuantely I'm not rich and privilieged enough to have that honor. Not every 26 year old can be a millionaire.

Debo,

Do you ever think you'll collect social security? Then why should you be forced to pay into it?

The total tax for state and federal should be 10% max all across the board. Stop frivolous spending. Take care of military and education.

Nah - I'll probably be dead long before retirement.
Besides, if I pay into Social Security now, it goes to my parents, so they won't have to move in with me when they go broke.

Debo,

Hopefully your parents have enough common sense to realize they can't rely on ss to pay for their retirement and have taken care of it long before now. You're still paying for something chances are you won't use. I'm not going to just sit here and take it. If you don't already have a VUL (variable universal life) policy set up do it now! At 26 the insurance portion of your policy won't be much. Here's the kicker though anything you put in excess of the insurance is distributed to various variable products actually earning interest, I earned 12% on what I put in above the insurance portion last year and this money only compounds. The money you put into this kind of policy is tax deferred. If you need the extra money don't stress it because you can take out up to 25% of the acv of the policy. This protects you from taking out loans at high interest rates to the bank. Especially good for downpayments or even house payments if you get in a crunch. But eventually, depending on how agressive you've been, the policy will mature and you're money will have been making you money. Do a little research on how compound interest works and you'll have a better idea on what i'm talking about. End ramble...

Why should I care about what some overpaid athlete says?

Any more than, say, you should care about political opinions coming out of Hollywood?

Fine with me, too bad the GOP would never, ever, ever, let it happen.

Why do you vote for a party who doesn't support what you believe in?

I would have thought after all your talk about researching info you would at least have looked up who introduced HR25 on the floor of the senate. Senator Saxby Chamblis a republican from Georgia.

No it didn't but it was brought to the floor. And if enough people become informed then eventually there will be a vote on it. Bush's advisors have already said they would look at in his second term while Kerry has denounced it altogether.

Just like he said he look into imported medicine in 2000?

You'll be waiting a long time for that.

Actually, Drudge said he would, based upon a book review.

The chance of Bush and the Republican party royally pissing off the elderly voting block is 0. While it may be the right thing to do, it's also complete political suicide.

Why do you hate the idea that people should keep what they earn?
----------------------------------------------------------------

whom did they earn it from?

im all for earning alot of money. i am just all against ******** the working stiffs who can barley make ends meet, and those that cant, to keep it all to myself.

it is THEIR money linning MY pocket. you keep taking and taking without giving anything back, pretty soon, there is nothing to take any more.

let those with the most to give, give the most, let those with the least to give, give what they can, let those with nothing to give rest their bones under my roof, and eat from my table.

you realize bill gates has the power to end hunger and homelessness in california all together? and he got that power from all of us. so why od we have homeless, and hungry people in california?

By this rational why doesn't Kerry end homeless along the eastern seaboard? I mean his wifes one of the richest people on the planet. Oh and lets not forget Ted Turner why doesn't he donate any proceeds from the Braves or TNT and use it to end hunger in Atlanta? You are a complete moron and it's a shame our government actually allows you the privelage of voting.
