Welcome to a life of mediocrity after this season. You have officially lost anything which separates you from the rest of the one title winners.

Long live the Cubs! Hail to the last team that has anything worth openly rooting for but secretly hoping they fail.

I prefer my own thread, thankyouverymuch.

What's with Boston and the whole "cowboy" shtick? Elitest liberal snobs, sure, but gun totin', rootin' tootin', Wild West cowboys who believe in vigilante justice at the hands of the mob and the end of a revolver? Have you seen that principle owner, John Henry? Is that guy the stereotypical epitome of a State Department WASP or what? You know the type-- believes the Pentagon should be turned into a museum of Diplomacy and Appeasement. Even his name screams blue blood.

In truth, I pity the Sox despite the World Series championship. Life is now pedestrian and ordinary regardless of the trophy, because there is no happily ever after in this fairy tale come next season.

Nope, not pissed, Jroc, just disappointed. One of baseball's best traditions or myths is finished. It's more of a bummer than anything else, since I have no vested interest in the Red Sox outside of the story they had to tell every year.

We can always hope the Cubs don't succumb to such temptation. That would be tragic beyond words.

Admit it, your mad. You lost your first of 2 bets.

Cheers!

No problem, Flea, I'll deep fry some yard bird up and have it ready in 10 minutes. Need a side of corn bread with it?

Jroc, edit your post to make it so we don't have to scroll right to read each post please.

It's about time! Now that's good old-fashioned hospitality. Throw in a jug of moonshine, and I'll consider baking some mac and cheese.

No, really, I'm not upset, just more... sad. I liked the Red Sox for the Curse, pulled for them every time against the Yankees (except in the playoffs) and felt wonderfully satisfied when they lost in a new and terrible way. Now they really are the Anaheim Angels East.

Yeah when the Brooklyn Dodgers won no one ever cared about the Dodgers again.

Oh wait...

Hahahahha.

Prepare for (more) Frisco yuppies wearing Red Sox caps :)

Red Sox, world champions, Patroits world champions.

Boston, city of chapions.

Seatle, city of high suicide rates and Courtney Love.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.
