WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) leads Democratic rival John Kerry (news - web sites) by 1 point with six days left in a tight race for the White House, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

Bush led Kerry 48-47 percent in the latest three-day national tracking poll, as the Massachusetts senator gained 2 points on Bush in a day. Bush led Kerry 49-46 percent on Tuesday.

Bush's lead was well within the poll's margin of error, leaving the White House rivals in a statistical dead heat heading into the stretch run.

"Today was a big day for Kerry," pollster John Zogby said.

How odd that no one mentioned the Zogy poll we've been talking about for three days when Kerry moves back into a tie.

Gee, I wonder why that is?

No, apparently they are critical when Bush is gaining in them and meaningless when Kerry is.

How Bush/Kerry got robbed, how the voting in Florida robbed them, why the Supreme Court ruled the way it did and how much the new president sucks.

Four more years!

Hey, thanks for providing the link to an EC poll that shows bush is almost 50 EC votes away. It's funny because you don't realize how stunningly bad that is for an invumbent.

Nothing's funnier than when one of you guys posts something runs counter to your argument completely.

How's my $100,000 coming by the way?

Honestly, I am tired of the campaign. I want more dick and fart jokes, poker talk, and random burst of flaming.

I'll be glad when it's over and we can fight over who won.

It'll be fun if some of the Supreme Court Justices die/resign before inauguration time and it's still up in the air. Because any nominees, no matter how well or poorly qualified, will obviously be tied up in the approval process and we'll be in a real situation then. Wait, what's so fun about that? Never mind.

How a solution in Iraq and a revitalized economy are Bush legacies and Kerry can't take credit for any of them, naturally.

How rolling back the tax breaks on the wealthiest Americans was a bad idea even though the economy took off afterward and how Kerry has weakend the military by not getting as many people killed as Bush did.

Your poll shows Bush ahead by fifteen electoral votes with neither side having anywhere near 270 and over a hundred points listed as "toss-ups".

That's your ringing endorsement for a Bush victory?

Probably that Sam the Eagle was all about Zogby when it showed Bush outside of the MoE but is quiet about Zogby saying that gap is gone already.

Whatever. I usually don't post saying that Electoral-Vote.com shows Bush ahead either. I'll be glad when this coming Wednesday rolls around. Of course the fact that the Democratic ticket is going to sweep Illinois anyway probably makes me a bit less enthused about it.

How the whole world can now breathe freely again after holding their breath for months?

Criticizing Kerry for not being MORE liberal. ;)

FDR was in office during WW2, lightning boy. Unless he creates a national healthcare system, forces private collges to provide education free of charge to everyone and creates 9 or 10 new beuarcricies to create jobe for people he won't be even vaguely close ot the most liberal president in a century.

He won't even be the most liberal President in a half century.

It's very likely he'll be slightly more conservative than CLINTON for fuck sake.

Wow, you really have no idea who John Kerry is, do you? Unsurprising. You've been told he's liberal so you said "Uh Yup, un huh, he's liberal all right. He's gonna raise my taxes and make me gay and take my doctor away and I'm gonna have to pay 90 percent of my income in taxes and wait in line with BROWN SKINNED PEOPLE to get care if I have a heart attack!!"

Again. not surprising.

See what I mean? More liberal than anyone, ever.

Hyperbole, doc. Learn it, live it, love it.

I understand the defintion of hyberole as used on this board quite clearly.

When a conservative poster makes a claim that turns out to be easily shown to be ludicrously false, it's hyperbole. When they make a ludcrous claim that can be shown to be false with small bit of effrot, it's because of the liberal media. When they make a ludcrous claim that can't be disproven technically, like that Kerry once thought about raping little boys when he was dreaming, it's fact.
