I'm embarrassed to admit that the last two elections are the first campaigns I really payed much attention to, mostly b/c I didn't have television, a good internet collection or a decent newspaper.

So for those of you who have been paying attention for years, is this election one of the worst you've seen as far as negative, attacking, non-productive campaigning?

And has this campaign helped show how much the President actually works? I mean, he's been on the campaign trail now for 1/5th of his time in office.

Nope, situation normal. Campaigning, fund raising, negative ads, all part of the election process regardless which party is in office.

It's the way things are done.

Voter intimidation, systematic minority disenfranchisement, bogus felon lists, just like 2000 anyway.

Actually seems mellow to me. There are 1,000 eyes looking out for the Karl Rove tactics, so the pubs can't be as dirty this year.
