I'm glad I live in a free country where we understand the difference between separation of church and state versus suppression of religion.

Then again, the French lost any post WWII semblance of integrity back when they blew up that Greenpeace ship. Not a tolerant people.

I bet Varus and Katie aren't against instituting this in the U.S.

Believe you me, if the administration COULD, they would.

Yeah, because dress codes are unheard of in public schools in the US. In the US could wear the headscarf, but not a "Christ sucks" tee shirt.

Tell that to the NEOcons. They think that keeping religion out of laws is the same as suppressing THEIR religion.

Actually back in high school I was one of the few that protested this kind of thing (as in the banning of). I dont see a problem with people wearing articles of clothing that show their faith. I am against people who use the same aregument to wear shorts short enough to show their camel toe and tops see threw enough to see thier implants. Then again Im pro school prayer and pro pledge. You dont have to say either but be respectful of the people who would. Standing is not so much to ask during the pledge. Its not like we are forcing you to say it or cross your heart.

Forcing me to send my kid to a school where other kids believe in various imaginary people in the sky wouldn't be respectful of me.

Then by all means, send your kids to a private school.

Hi Katie! I represent a religious group, too! :-)

I'm part of the Campus Crusades for Satan, k? And we'll be, like, coming to your school with "Jesus is a pussy" and "Satan Rocks!" shirts to distribute among your students. Also, we'll be holding a demonstration in which we say prayers to our god, Satan, the one true power in the world while we sacrifice a goat on the stage. We'll bring our own mops to cleanup, don't worry! =)

Also, is there a problem if we dress up in Satan costumes and have an orgy in front of the school? Remember, it's part of our religion, and we just want to show people how, like, cool Satan is.

Thanks for your cooperation, love!

Don't need to. The Constitution prevents people like from me making people like me's kids suffer through that sort of ****.

Lack-of-god Bless America!

No.. try again. While wearing pentagrams what not is ok. Wearing shirts that denounce other's religions, or are completly out of line is another thing all together. You have a satanic bible? Feel free to read it during study hall or lunch. You want to get together and "pray" to satan? Go for it. NO, under any circumstance, should there be any kind of alters to any other worldly beings be put up. Scince we arent permiting jesus costumes, why would we permit devil costumes? You want to tatoo 666 on your forehead for your religion.. be my guest. It all depends on how you look at it and handle it.

Let me put it another way- if you have a prayer played over the loudspeaker, why can't other groups? If you have people praying in the classroom, why not have them chant satanic hymns? I mean, if you stop them you're interfering with their right to practice their same religious rights as everyone else in the class is exercising.

Personal prayer.. not over the loudspeaker. Why does everything have to be over the loud speaker? Im saying personal prayer.. you know to yourself.. of in a group circle even. Hey! you want to chant to which ever cult you belong? Go ahead, before or after class, not during.
