What does d'oh stand for anyway?

I usually write it "doh" instead... pronouncing it "dough" like Homer does.. but pronouncing d'oh would be like.. de-oh or do-oh.

In the Simpsons scripts, it only appears as <Annoyed Grunt>, and "D'oh" was Dan Castellaneta's interpretation of that.

He borrowed it from an old TV character that would start to say "Damn," but stop himself after the D. (At the time, "Damn" was a bad word).

Or you can consult Wikipedia, as usual.

I don't know the thought of a terrorist googling on the internet is disturbing to me. The damm bastards should just with their guns and bombs. I would hate for them to get mistaken for intelligent beings.

I know what you mean Flea. I googled my name a while back and found out that for some oddball reason my name is on some space thing travelling out to Pluto or someplace. I also found my husband's name, my brother, and my parents. So when the aliens come to take us, they'll take everyone but me cause it's my maiden name! Smiley: cry

lol, I Googled my name once (doing geneology) and found a bunch of old poems of mine that somone I couldn't remember published on a website. It was badly editited though.. but kinda cool regardless.

I've had an internet presence since the early-mid 90's and been on this planet considerably longer, yet about all that's on Google for me is some old ASCII art, a contribution to an old "Red Green Show" FAQ and a link to some article I wrote about how "Barney & Friends" lacks an antagonist which is unusual for a children's show. I guess if you searched the USEnet archives you could read my thoughts on Magic: the Gathering as well.

Honestly, I was kind of disappointed there's so little about me out there. And none of it is likely to save me from Islamic beheading.

I googled my name and got confirmation of a glaringly obvious fact:

I haven't done anything worthy of internet fame. I am nobody and that just helped prove it. But apparently there's a charter boat captain in FL and a DOT director in a western state and a coupla anti-Bush radicals who share the anme with me. At least they're semi-interesting.
