"Kerry accuses Bush of a January surprise." I guess even John Flip-flopppin' Kerry doesn't plan to be in office come next year. How demoralizing for the Democratic party faithful!

I guess all you college students can rest easy now, since the threat of Kerry reinstituting the draft is over since Kerry just gave his concession speech three weeks early.

I suppose he'll just have to report to duty to the on duty windsurfer rental shop cabana boy...

Well at least we know one guy for sure that aint gonna win, Keyes.

Whew that **** is crazy, I was just reading how he claimed that children of gay couple will inevitably fall victim to incest since they do no know there real parents.

Why did the GOP even put him up, I know Obama was gonna win no matter what but you think that maybe they could have found someone that wouldnt hurt the republicans in the long run just by running a losing fight.

Ssshhh....

Totem is frightened and confused by our complex election system. Don't bring up details like the lame duck period because you might spook him.

Edit: Heh.. read the article after and it does say 'second term'. That'll learn me to make pithy comments, though Totem is, of course, deliberately misreading it

My guess is they finally decided there's no such thing as bad publicity.

That and the fact that the first five or seven people they asked to run after Ryan dropped out all say "Ummm... no thanks". Of course the fact that they picked Keyes over Jim Oberweis had to be a real kick in the teeth for Mr. Icecream. I wonder if he's still voting Republican this year. Smiley: wink2

If Bush is re-elected then I encourage each and every person who reads this to rent the movie The Day After, because that's the direction Bush is taking this country.

Jophed,

Hmmm and by lame duck you mean a president that's cut taxes, defeated to terrorist regimes, and created a homeland defense system to work on actually keeping terrorist out? If not what are you referring to by this lame duck nonsense? What a monumental waste of 4yrs I know.

although the first one sounds what you're going for:

Quote:
An elected officeholder or group continuing in office during the period between failure to win an election and the inauguration of a successor.
An officeholder who has chosen not to run for reelection or is ineligible for reelection.

but I think the second one is more accurate:

Quote:
An ineffective person; a weakling.

It's lame to think Bush will win. Everyone can effectively give up hope for america if it does...and we can blame the un-cultured and barely diversified mid-west and southern states for not getting out enough.

Kerry will win. period.

EDIT forgot a "]"

The fact that he continues to address points to me despite my inability to read them would seem to back this up.

Yeah because lord knows we need a president who thinks that half of America are a bunch of "brownshirts" Please remove your head from your **** hole. BTW, Gore was not the first candidate to lose with a plurality.. So, please spare us the whine-fest.
