With the start of the holy month I have made some commitments to my Middle Eastern friends. I vow to drink massive amounts of beer during the day, get my jerk on to **** every fifteen minutes, eat a big a$$ pork roast at 12 noon, go to a Catholic church every Sunday, and vote for Dubya so we can keep celebrating Islamic Killappalooza 2004 for another four years.

Who's with me?!?

I'm going to do my part for Ramadan solidarity and read a copy of "The Satanic Verses", that I found at the local used bookstore.

Excellent! That makes two of us. Anybody else? I think I can book a great Yiddish band I know who just got their gig canceled for the brist they were supposed to rock the foreskins off of.

Anyone? Anyone at all?

I've got a pork roast in the oven at this very moment.

That's about as far as I'll go, though. The rest of that seems like a lot of work.

It's a lot like Lent, actually.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Oh, man, you have no idea of the sacrifice you've committed to make. Good luck.

Ok, everybody who ate or is planning on eating pork, I'm gonna count you all as "In." Cool. You joining us, Smash? You can do Mass for your mother's sake, just like old times when you were an altar boy in Bahston.

~pregnant pause~

That's sure ripe for FYTfing...

I consume a lot of corn dogs. I'm in as long as you count pork by-products.

No, if it was like that weird things the Catholics do, the Islamics would get to about 8am and accidentally eat a piece of bacon, say "Oh shit", decide they fucked up Ramadan anyway and cook up a pack of pork sausage.

At least that's how Fridays during Lent usually went at my house.
