Donuts;

Krispy kream? Duncan donuts?(spelling)

A krispy just opened in canada about 5 mins from my house, i love those things.

All fastfood;

My favorite in Canada is Tim Hortons, but my favorite ANYWHERE is "IN and Out," those burgers are some tasty.

Where do you get your burger and fries?

Yea, since tim died like 10 years ago...(No idea on how many years ago)

Probally the most popular chain resturaunt ever in Canada. Serves everything from sandwiches to soup to donuts. Before krispy came to canada, tim's was the choice of donuts too. I love it there.

The best donuts and pastries come from this place, Liliha Bakery.

Krispy Kreme is hurting, financially.

It appears that the chain is suffering from the proliferation of the Atkins diet.

I read in the newspaper last week that the stock is down a huge amount (something like 28% of its value from a year ago) and that the company has been buying back franchises left and right. To top it off, they've issued enough profit warnings that the SEC is investigating.

I happen to love their donuts. I don't go for all those funky filled things, though. Just give me a glazed donut or an old fashioned non-glazed cake donut. Anything else, you can keep.

My favorite donuts aren't from a chain, though. They're from one of those little tiny vendors. This lady has a booth she runs at a local flea market (US1). She mixes the dough in front of you, pours it in her little machine, and it fries the donuts right in front of you (I've loved these machines since I saw one when I was a kid). A bag of these, with a VERY light sprinkling of cinnamon sugar cannot be beaten.

It's a chain of donut stores in the USA. They're mostly known for having a neon sign they light when donuts are right off the line to let you know they have 'Hot fresh donuts'

They're actually very good. When they opened one in New Orleans a coupla years ago, the line was 11 blocks long the first day. That's people on foot, not cars.

Most of the stores aren't backed up thugh. Between the fact that they have drivethrus and that they distribute their donuts to every gas station/grocery store in town that will carry them, you can get the donuts if you want em.

The best, of course, are the hot fresh ones.

Nothing beats a tiny bakery fresh donut or homeade one.

Krispy Creme does make some pretty good donuts but it seems like a poor business model to me to base an entire chain off of one food product. I like donuts and all but I'm more likely to grab a donut at the grocery store while im shopping or the gas station after I fill up than drive out of my way to the "donut store" to get one.

When I was young we lived really close to a Krispy Kreme. Almost every Sunday morning, my dad would get up really early and go get a dozen assorted fresh donuts.

Yum...

As i said earlier a krispy kreme just opened in my town. It is the largest line in the city now. A 2 hour wait at the busy times. You have to go there late if you are planning on getting some donuts in a reasonable amount of time. There is only 2 of these in the entire province of Alberta.

I love Dunkin' Donuts Bavarian Creme. Never been to a Krispy Kreme, though I have seen one so I know it exists.

Fast food would be Taco Bell and Wendy's. A few weeks ago I interrupted some nookie with my girlfriend when I happened to hear something on the TV. I looked up and exclaimed "Wendy's bacon mushroom melt is back?!" Smiley: drool2

I like Krispy Kreme and they taste yummy enough but are they're cotton candy of donuts. Unlike a good, filling cake donut like the Dunkin' variety, you can take the fluffy KK and compact it into a single marble sized sphere of donutness by squeezing all the air out.

They don't suck, but comparing them to traditional cake donuts is like comparing pork chops and chicken fillets. They're both "meat", but...

Krispy Kreme is as Southern Baptist of a company as you can get.

I grew up selling their donuts in church events and to raise money for school stuff.

Student organizations do that on the quad at UofI too.

'course, even though UofI is in central IL (and can be pretty redneck if you venture off-campus) it's just in the last few years that KK spread to the Chicagoland area, so that may have something to do with it.
