The U.N.* today called for inspectors to be allowed unrestricted access to the Bush Campaign. There are believed to be large stockpiles of apologies which have yet to be accounted for.

Speaking from a tea-room somewhere in the mid-19th Century, their senior spokesperson, Nobby said:

"Experts should be sent immediately to seek out and publish these apologies. They are believed to relate to unemployment, economic decline, the loss of international credibility, prosecuting a war on false grounds, and saying 'nucular' repeatedly.

They should be rigorous in their search, and not be prepared to accept excuses"

When asked for his views, a Mr J Kerry of Massachusets said"

I agree, no wait, I disagree. Hold on, no I agree after all.

Would you ask me again tomorrow?"

Sadly, the Republican Guard, headed by Karl al-Rove, will keep any inspectors from actually discovering an apologies, thus driving an infuriated Kerry to initiate an unprecedented unilateral preemptive strike against Bush's campaign headquarters.

Update: Bush has responded by threatening to deploy medium-range mispronunciations unless Nobby retracts. In a press announcement on Al-****-era TV he said:

"I will not be regurgitated from my path of discreditorizing those who would dessicate the good name of our prostitution of the war in Japan"
