I ride with my double set of highbeams on, so people tend to move over for me thinking I'm either a cop or are so blinded they move over to let me by. It's gotten to the point that the motorcycle is so much faster to get around on and more efficiently that I get irritated driving the car now.

This is one of the reasons that I like living in the Chicago area. The generally accepted speed on any major road or highway is 15 over the speed limit. Anyone driving slower is summarily passed, honked at, and flipped the bird.

Nice bike, K, but the seat is very hard and uncomfortable. It has a race feel to it, including the ergos, so if you plan to do any lengthy distances on it be prepared for tired wrists from leaning on them, a sore neck from craning it up to see, and a tight back from the over-the-tank position you are in.
That said, it runs like a scalded dog according to the reviews, turns in easily, has good brakes, and likes to loft the front wheel if you are into that sort of thing.
The new RR is supposed to be the closest thing to a track bike that a cycle company has mass produced yet.

Probably never any trip over 50-60 miles. I want something with good power, but easier to handle than say an 1100RR. I know redlines on these are supposed to top out over 12K.

That sounds like something I'd do to **** of someone else. Usually if they did something asinine to me first (like cut me off, etc).
Totem - if I get high-beamed like that, I'd slow down to 10mph and speed up if you ever tried to pass. Doing this on an Interstate with just enough traffic to block someone is highly amusing when they start screaming and ripping up their steering wheel.

Seriously, I think agressive drivers should have their licenses revoked for 5 years at a pop. It'd cut down on wrecks, insurance premiums, and road rage all at once. Vehicles are deadly and too many morons treat them like they're toys and play games with them....on the same roads I have to drive on.

I'm sure you'll have fun with the bike. I had a 2004 Yamaha R6 (first bike i ever rode) and its an adrenaline rush. Top speed was close to 170 mph. I think I did about 145 though. Smooth riding to go so fast. And yeah on long trips your wrist will bother you as well as back and what not, but once u ride them for a bit you'll adjust. Btw thats a sweet color too. Just keep it safe man :P

I agree with you Stephen, but then again, I'm more worried about an elderly driver that SHOULDN'T be qualified to drive than a aggressor driver.
The agressive driver usually tend to make 1 mistake out of the YEARS that they drive like maniacs, while an elderly person runs over a cat and thinks it's just tire failure.
About a month ago, a old man "accidently" lost control of his car and ran over a GROUP of people.
Older drivers freak me out, I avoid them like the plague.

The thing is that it's not aggresive drivers that are essentially the problem. If I'm going north on the Tri-state at 8am, everyone is driving fast, changing lanes without signaling, and it's expected. It's the 75-year-old, legally blind guy driving the boat on wheels (Towncar) going 45 that's more of a danger to me than all the other people.
It's all based on context. Personally, I'd rather drive on a highway full of agressive drivers than defensive drivers (extremities excluded).
