which assasination attempt are you refering to? the most recent one (well, the most recent one that I am aware of) right around the start of the second gulf war? the one where we were trying to kill the commander of a military that was still taking daily offensive actions against us? I doubt that even you can't see the difference between missiles sent in to a non-hostiel country and this.

Obviously, in the months between Jan 2003 and march 2003 when the invasion was started, the attacks ceased to occur because I can't find links to specific dates, only links to iraqi generals and us military officials commenting about the war over the nofly zones.
