Im working for Canadian thanksgiving I get double time and a half /drool.
Plus my family is doing the thanksgiving thing on Sunday not Monday.

Btw, peaceful country with nothing to worry about. Not to live in constant fear like you Americans. We don't have numerous friends and family we have to worry about over seas.
I think we have alot more to be thankful for than Americans, ALOT more.

What are all you americans doing for your thanksgiving?
That's a month and a half away, but I'm sure a lot of us will just go visit mom and eat lots of turkey.

I'd just like to take this moment to point out to the geographically impaired, without bothering to single anyone out because so many posters make the same false distinction, that Canada IS in North America. Canadians ARE Americans.
Like it or lump it. Doesn't change the facts. You may as well sign up to be the 52nd state since you're already Americans. Get in line behind Mexico.
Dunno why American = US citizen in so many eyes.

thanksgiving, thats another phonomena i'd like to straighten out, WTF is it? its like an excuse to eat turkey apart from X mass right?
I don't know about the Canadian version, but here in the US it is a celebration of how the original settlers were able to mooch food and farming techniques from the natives until the point where they were strong enough to steal their lands. Plus this is America! We need something to tide us over until that Christmas dinner.

Have you ever heard of a little landmass called "South America"? Would you call someone from Peru an American, too?
We can't just use United States as our title, since I believe there is another USA - it's a big island floating in the Pacific that was settled by British felons.

Yeah, I've heard of South America. But there's too many countries to name down there and the US isn't sharing land borders with THEM at the moent, so they're not such good candidates for #51 and #52.
I prefer United States citizen, and yes, it's a shame that we don't have a handy way to put 'an' at the end of our country for easy identification. Maybe we should change the name?
