agreed. North Korea has been a massive failure. Also, China isn't quite as big and bad as you are tuaght to believe. All we need is to ally with India and china would fold like oragami. Especially if coupled with the technological superiority and logistical support of the Japanese.

China isn't so hot militarily... yet. But they've increased military spending by a bunch and, surprisingly, they have a lot of economic clout with the U.S. Strange as it seems, a sanction war would be more damaging to us than to them.

I wonder what a Toyota jet fighter would be like?

This will not happen any time soon. Our alliance with Pakistan pretty much voids this.

and now you see why Japan is the answer.

I highly doubt the Japanese people in our lifetime will allow them to have more then a self defense force. It has become something of a badge of honor, to the common Japanese person, that thier defense force is just that, a defense force.

I also belive that Russia, China, both Koreas, most of S.E., the Phillapenes, and some of the other Pacific island nations would be none to happy to see a aggresive Japanese army, and this in turn would hurt the U.S. standing in this region if we supported Japan in this decision.

You know, sabotage is always an answer.

"Accidentally" make one of the NK nukes go off in their bunker, ensure China sees it, get China riled up over this, and while China's distracted with the non-issue of North Korean asswhoopings (and, probably, rapes) Taiwan can declare its independence quietly.

Someone point out the obvious flaws in THIS idea.

Whatever, Stok - I'm surprised you are focused on an insignificant topic like this instead of focusing your neo-con interest on last night's debate. Oh, wait, you must have looked at all the polls - nevermind.

As I've previously stated, I only recognize Totem's giving of the RACK. I do not recognize your self-appointed judgement. In my view, I respect posters for their quality of posts, not the quantity or how long they've been posting here. So I'm not a Chatty-Cathy even though I've been around for quite some time.

High post counts or not, it really has no bearing in my view. Maybe when you can achieve the quality of humor that makes Totem the RACK-meister, I would respect your claim. However, it's fairly evident that will never happen.

So, I will not relinquish the silly honor that Totem bestowed upon me. Coming from Totem, it's fittingly worthwhile as I am all about the silly. If you feel otherwise, so sad, too bad.

S Korea on the other hand, pretty much ****** because Bush didn't do anything at all about N Korea's nuclear program except declare the country "evil".
------------------------------------------------------------

Bush had nothing to do with the situation in N.Korea, nor does he have any capacity to stop it.

think about who was supporting N.Korea during the vietnam war to prevent america from getting a foot hold on their continent.

China.

our ability to stop nuclear proliferation in N.korea is equall to our ability to invade China. it is non existant.

N.Korea would not have, or ever get nuclear weapons without the support of china, no matter what china admits publically. would we allow cuba to have nukes? would israel allow iran or iraq to have nukes?

no supperpower would allow a non friendly neibhor to have that capability. and given china certainly does have the ability to invade N.Korea at the drop of a hat, logic clearly dictates china is quietly supporting N. Korea,s nuclear program.

why?

a poker chip for negotiating the withdraw of U.S. troops from their continent, something China has been working on since we showed up to "police" the peace between N.korea and S. Korea.

China is using N.Korea to force negotiations with us to get our troops out of S.Korea.

our choices?

pull out of S.Korea or arm S.Korea and start an arms race with china through two puppet countries, N.Korea and S. Korea, basically a repeat of the vietnam war.

not sure you can win, so pick a fight through a puppet country you can disavow if it starts going badly.

they are afraid of us, we SHOULD be afriad of them. they want us off of their continent and are using N.Korea to get it.

May I propose to the council that while the 'Rack' may be open to challenge, this response allows it to stand, but downgraded to a Rack 2nd Class ?

Who da man? Only Totem da man here...but thankfully, not THE MAN!

If it will bring peace to this supposed body of RACKeteers, I'll humbly accept Nobby's solution. I only say this because I agree with his analysis of the debate last night. Also, Nobby is funny like Totem, only British...but that can't be helped, I suppose - just kiddin', British humor is the best. Smiley: boozingCheers.

Despite the trans-atlantic ***-kissing (Love ya right back Smoggy). I believe that two consequences should follow:

  • The Rack 2nd class be reinstated as a big fat Totem RACK

  • We should amend article 36 paragraph 19(w) to read "Anyone whose 'Rack' is challenged (whether denied or downgraded) shall redeem the full statement by posting wise-*** comments on the subject."

  • We should add article 36 paragraph 19(x) to read "Where a 'Rack' is challenged or disputed, any posts whining and griping shall immediately forfeit the aforementioned 'Rack'."

  • All in favour say "GFY"

Gee Smoggy don't take it so DAMN personal. It was a joke and will remain a joke, you where the target of the joke. If I hurt your feelings well golly gee, I hurt your feelings.

Now that my customers have slowed down after 4 hours of consistent good business, I have time to respond to the other topics.

Real life interfers with my time posting here, my humblest apologies for coming on this morning and focusing my first post of the day on you. That won't happen again.

    Have a nice a day.

    BTW Nobby

    RACK to you Sir.

Of course, it's your rack you can do whatever you want with it. You can even get implants for it if you'd like.
