First off since I'm a woman and straight, no I don't have a girlfriend. I have friends who are girls, though. Women actually. They are all adults.
Secondly, do you really want to date a boy or a man who plays games for a great portion of his time? I wouldn't. I got ignored enough by boyfriends who were obsessed with running their characters to the next town on WoW or killing just one more monster etc. If you want any kind of attention, you probably won't be happy with a gamer. Unless of course you plan to network your computers and spend time together that way.

The internet isn't a great place to meet your soulmate. It worked for Kip Dynamite, but I think more often than not you're going to find people who aren't very socially adept who don't use proper grammar and who will put their games before you.
Not all, but in my experience that's what I have found. And while I'm not socially adept, I do actually prefer going out to gaming and I am holding on to every shred of proper grammar that's left! I will not be turned to the Dark Side of lazy writing and teen speak!
