Whats wrong with this thread? Really? Its just a simple question. If you guys dont make a big deal outta it and answer the godamn question than its not a problem.

But I might end up deleting if it gets too outta hand.

While not Jewish myself, I can tell you that Jewish is indeed both an ethnicity and a religion.

By Talmudic Law, if your mother was a Jew, you're an ethnic Jew.

If you follow Judaism, you're Jewish by religion. Unless you're uncircumsised. Then you're a godless gentile.

Then I suppose there's the issue of whether or not you consider yourself Jewish.

If any scholars out there could answer this question, I'd be grateful.
If you are already 'cut' aand decide to conert to Judaism, what do they do to your ****? I can't afford to lose much more.

Be careful how you word your question.

The terms "Ethnic Group" and "Race" have different meanings.

I think most people agree that there is NO Jewish race, but there IS a Jewish ethnicity.

Do some googling, there are smarter people about this subject than anyone on this message board.

Jewishniss ( please forgive me I can't think of the politically correct term right now) is a religion. You may think of yourself as a race but that is a religious view on it so it would be religion.

hide behind god when they worship the devil and calfs and cows like they did when mosus saved them they keep stealing out the store i work at and i am sick of it they come in with babies and steal things then go and return them for money to buy more things and my boss is going to fire me cause if it i told him but he is a jew and says im the one doing it every where i turn they our the bosses they are evil and they control the us i dont hate them but they need to just live and stop trying to take over the world

There is only One Race.


Everything else is culture.... including Religion.

Race is a tricky and outdated term. To say someone is of a certain "race" would be fine if you were in the 19th to mid 20th century. There is not technically enough clear cut variation in the species to have "races" of humans.

However if you are looking at race as a population of people that recognized by common history, culture, lineage etc then they still wouldnt be a "race" mainly because once again you have a problem that would be like saying all Christians are the same "race".

With Christians you have Catholics, Protestants, blacks, asians, whites, hell even Inuit (eskimo for you backward muthas). They are all Christians but have different ideas what it is, different lineages, different cultures and various different locations around the world.

Same thing with practioners of Judaism, you have white, black, arabic, orthodox, etc.

Both are religions.

Well you have the Roman and Greek Catholic Church. They split around 1054 CE or some such date.

Any catholic that goes by the Pope is a Roman Catholic, while Greek Orthodox~y includes Ukranian, Russian etc.

The Pope and his crew have hung out in Rome for awhile now which is why there portion of the faith is called Roman Catholic or RC for short.
