Ok, I'm just curious whether anyone else has experienced this sort of oral trauma?

Saturday night I went out drinking with some friends. It was one of those endurance trial sort of evenings, which eventually resulted in my carcass depositing itself on the couch shortly after sunrise yesterday. Nothing odd at all about that. It's happened on numerous occasions, and nothing short of liver failure will likely change it. But when I woke up a couple fo hours later and decided to eat and drink something, my entire mouth was tender as hell. It hurt to even drink water. My tongue was especially sore, and even now, it's a little on the tender side. I distinctly recall a half dozen or so Goldschlager shots, which is unusual for me, because
A) I don't like doing shots,
and
B) I don't like Goldschlager

Anyone else ever get raw-mouth from Goldschlager?

<insert mandatory oral rape comment here>

with that out of the way... i cant say i've ever gotten any pain in my mouth from doing any drug (be it alcohol or whatever) except amphetamines due to the jaw clenching.

Do you have a stuffy nose at all?

If I drink with a stuffy nose, my entire throat and uvula get sore. The uvula even swells to the point where I can cough and it rests on the back of my tounge.

Nope, no stuffiness. I expect some to be forthcoming in the next few weeks as fall settles upon us in the great (hehe) state of South Carolina, though.

Heh, oral trauma.

You must have been giving some head - it's the only explanation. Do you remember actually getting home?

Were you smoking? Smoking lots of cigarettes can cause mouth soreness.

Although, I heard from your mom that so can giving head to lines of homeless people.

I don't smoke. Nasty habit for dumb people.

My mother works for the Health Dept. in GA, so it's part of her job. Whereas your mother volunteers.

I don't see how that's worse. I'd rather my mother be charitable.

Just sayin'. :)

Perhaps you got into a fight that you can't remember where someone clocked you in the jaw?

Only by you, babe. Only by you.

Nope, no drugs other than alcohol. No fights. I recall the majority of the night pretty disctinctly. I'm not a lightweight (sadly) when it comes to drinking. Though I have noticed that if I don't drink anything for about 2 months, I can get buzzed off a couple of beers. Smiley: boozing

Goldschlager is the only thing I can think of that was unusual about the night. That, and the whole UFO thing with the little pale guys and their 'special toy.'
