the replies i got were interesting:

jophiel: **HUGZ!!**

Totem: Are you kidding me? I've been doing that all day. If I engage in that behavior any more tonight, my junk will fall off. And a junkless Totem is an unhappy Totem, knowwhatImsayin?

pickle: Don't mind if I do!!!!

git: Promise?

smash: Kind of you to think of me.

stephens: Smiley: clap

tare: If you want to tell me to go f'uck myself, don't PM me. Be a man and do it here (posted in oot)

xythex: We were, Best friends in the world! Like Thelma and Louis, Huckleberry Fin and Tom Sawyer, Siegried and Roy... well not really like that last one but anyway that all changed the fatefull day you sent me that PM to GFmyself. Since then I can't even bring myself to look at your picture anymore :(

I think the most i can read into it right now is that you're a 12 year old with to much time on your hands.

Didnt assume age,i just remember either something from you or nobby that im pretty sure said you were around 12 or 13 years old.

You're pretty sharp for your age, you just need the experience and understanding that will hopefully come in time. Just have to realize that a 12 year old even with a firm understanding of Marx and Weber (which it is far from) you still have never had a job or havv been badly oppressed or had to deal with most of woes of the "Proletariat".

Before you expound the virtues of Soviet Russia try reading a book like Imperium by Kapuscinksi.

Can anybody recommend a good salve for my junk? It's a little chaffed and irritated for GFYing myself yesterday. I hear Tiger Balm makes it feel tingly. And I like tingly.

so whats your point? i'm not allowed to talk about my opinions on anything untill you deem me experienced enough?

that has nothing to do with it, (call me naĆve) but i don't need life experience to handle ideology. Economy, practising ideology as far as implementing its use in the running of a country, those things your'e right, I wouldn't want a 16 year old running the country, and i wouldn't want a 16 year old as my boss, but when it comes down to ideology, morals and ethics, then i have as much scope to make judgements as you do, why don't you work yourself back out of your karmic trance and think about what your'e saying, your'e fucking with my chi *****

Drac, the reason you shouldn't tout Communism as an ideology until you've had more experience in life is because it makes you sound like a pretentious twerp. Have you even had a job? Have you lived on a commune? Have you seen Marxist theory in practice on even the smallest of scales?

Having done all these things, let me tell you one truth, one defining revalation, one epiphany: Marxism sucks. Marxists suck. Don't take that personally; it's just that the only people I know who can tolerate Marxists are other Marxists. Communism is for two classes of people: those who wish to dominate, and those who lack the ability or drive to carve a better life for themselves.

Again, don't take it personally. If you still want to be a Marxist after you get your first paycheck and see how much you give to the government for allowing you the privilege to work, I can offer you the works of another famous Marx: Groucho.

In theory, not a whole lot. In practice, quite a bit. Let me see if I have this right: "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need," or some fair approxiamtion of that, correct? Who determines ability? Who determines need? More importantly, upon whom falls the onerus task of distribution? If you guessed the proletariat, you lose.

The correct answer? The government.

I can tell you're pretty smart, although a little misguided. Reflect on the above paragraph, and think about how it relates to the government allowing you the privilege of "aiding the proletariat."

If you have any other questions, I'll be checking this thread for a while.

One last thought: Communism is doomed to fail because it fails to factor in humanity. If there is no possibility of bettering one's situation, one will do as little work as possible just to avoid the lash. Or midnight disappearances.

It's all semantics, really.

this is the oldest and worst argument against communism there is, where does it say that there is no scope to better oneself? where?

This is the oldest arguement because human nature does not change. I will grant that there are rare individuals out there who will devote themselves to an altruistic cause completely for a lifetime. I believe P. T. Barnum called them "suckers."

As far as worst, that's not entirely accurate. There are worse argumements out there, which is why I won't bring them up. They're worse.

I will not say that there is no scope to better one's self. But, the incentive is highly diminished when the People's Representatives come to divide your self-improvement amongst the impoverished masses of your "comrades."

just because i'm not benefitting myself directly when i work does not take away the incentive, if i work then i better my country, and my country betters me, and all of my "comrades"
