White History Month?Follow

Thats right I said it. Just wondering if its possible or if it would seem racist? Heaven forbid one ethnic background get a whole month to celebrate.

And quick question where will the NAACP be in 50 years when no one will be directly linked to slavery anymore?

Can we have all white schools or is that racist too?

Can we have a White Entertainment Television (WET) or would that be racist too?

Can white females get grants for being just a white female? Or is that racist too?


And this one urks me..... Why when white people say "*****" its offensive. Black people say it and their loved for it. I got black friends and I say it to them alot with no worries. But a random black person can tell a random black person Sup *****. No offense. Swap it to one white one black. That cracka must be in the KKK and out to hang mah black ***! Sorry I just hate ignorant people who use racism as an excuse for their laziness and lack of intelligence just to make it in the world somewhere.

No i cant, but would a white person be openly accepted by the staff and students at Southern University or Grambling?

Openly??? mebbe not. But if theyre legally forced to I'm sure they would ^^.

White people have had thier time. You know since about the beginning of earth up to about the 50's or 60's.

Nope. If I remember correctly, about half a year ago there were some students that tried to institute a White History Month celebration in their school and got suspended for it. According to the media, who, God knows, would point out the fact that the paper they used was white if they thought they could tag racism onto it, was surprisingly objective about reporting it. At least the stories I read anyhow.

There's a double standard in society, and amazingly enough I've met black people that were against things like affirmative action. I remember I used to have a friend that worked in a book store who would get highly miffed when people asked him about the "black authors" section. The store technically didn't have one, but they did lump all the black authors' books together in the same section. His point was people were reading books based more or less on the color of the writer's skin.

There is only one race among us and that is the human race, if you can't except that and think that you are better than someone because of where they are from, color of their skin, or beliefs then you are a dumbass. Also, if you are not aware that these differences stem from evolutionary, climatical, and regional scenarios then you are also a dumbass. These differences are not based on superiority of one specific set of genetic code, they are there for a reason and that is to better suit that particular set where it is native to. If you are in any way racist, your opinion does not matter and shouldn't be taken into consideration in the slightest way. We are all humans, and therefore should be treated equal. If you fail to realize this equality, you are just another specimen of human stupidity and lack the simple intelligence that in fact grants you the title of 'human being'.

For desciptional purposes yes, but in describing said mugger as a black man that is no way setting a feeling of superiority. The same could be said if a white man had been the culprit, you could describe them simply as a human being, but that is not going to take the case anywhere. I made my post about how all humans are equal. In that particular scenario if I had in fact gone to the police and described the culprit as a black man, I wouldn't have conveyed any hate in that message nor would I be guilty of racism. A white man is just as liable to do the same thing. So is any other person with a different background. Thus, there is equality.

Now if I were to take that same scenario and look at it a whole different way, such as stereotyping all black men to have a overwhelming tendancy to do this, and hating all black men for it, that would be racism. If I hated the entire population of people in a certain area of the world for no particular reason, that would be racism. In the area I live in, racism is very strong (SE Indiana). Many claim they are racist because that is how they were brought up, but that is no excuse for it. Ironically enough, I find the same people who are racist who will shout till their last breath that they "Hate dem &@#$%^&!" Listening to rap music, and wearing the logos of many companies that rappers have started that are indeed black men. I have tried to talk to people about it but they just don't understand how much they are contradicting their entire set of beliefs. It's amazing really, to see human stupidity in this strong of form.

...but isn't BET and black history month an attempt to strengthen an AA's racial identity after 400 YEARS OF OPPRESSION COMPLETELY BASED ON RACE? DO YOU REMEMBER THAT? DO YOU REMEMBER THE LAST 400 YEARS OF OPPRESSION?


Yes, I think BET & Black History Month are silly olive branches too.
How about everyone of African decent enslave everyone of Northern-European decent for 400 years? Or how about legally counting white people 2/3 human and stripping your right to vote? No? Odd...I thought you'd go for that.
