Baltimore/Wash DC area for the Allah's posters - all are welcome (as long as you aren't packin'!)...
Submit possible places for a meet up - pubs, sports bars, watering holes... for Smiley: boozing

Bah too far south. Move it up north a bit to catch all of us northerners and canadians :)

That sounds like my area. Haven't been boozing as much as I used to be perhaps I should grind out a few levels.

Can't make it up there any time soon, but Murphey's Pub in Alexandria, Va kicks ***. Ahhhhhhhhh... precious, lifegiving Guinness.

Maybe if this becomes a popular idea, perhaps we can cover the major cities along the east coast - I'm all for a trek up north - I've always wanted to check out Toronto (Huge K.I.T.H. fan here).

I hear ya Invis - it's been a while for me as well, but that's the nice thing about Guinness, no worries about overdoing it for me, heh.

I can probably get down to DC for this.

Alternately we could meet in Philly. That $29 flight is calling my name!

Mr. T says: Don't make me Mad! Grrrrr!

At urban outfitters there is a talking Mr. T toy, you press buttons and it plays his catch phrases. That one's my favorite.

Not me, I'm a fountain of bliss and joy spewing outward onto my fellow man like a **** movie pop shot.

Philly could work, my Dad lives up in Yardley, PA (Bucks County). We owe him a visit!

That would work, Skeet.

For those that are interested, throw out some workable Friday or Saturday nights for this. We may be busy this Friday, as we're possibly zipping down to Bailey's Crossroads, VA to a Terry Pratchett book signing thing at Borders. It's a bit of a hike for us to Bailey's Crossroads - that's why it's so debatable. Saturday is good, but I don't wanna get too hammered, as we're heading to the Baltimore ComiCon on Sunday...walking around all day amidst the masses with a hangover doesn't look too appealing.

Ahhh yes, but can your joy be positioned perfectly on the upper lip of a recipient...that's the real question.

Hey, if you do, can I wire you (or whatever) some cash for a signed TP book?

I know your good for it. If we do go, shall I have him make it out to Tim, Timothy, or Smasharoo? I really hope to go, however, it's convincing my wife (who I carpool with) to go. The commute is godawful at 5:30pm-ish from where she is (near the Baltimore campus of Univ. of MD) to Northern VA.

I'll try to psych her up for it tonight (we're both fans of Pratchett now) and let ya know. Good thing it's not tonight, since this afternoon's tornado warning for the Northern VA area wouldn't be helpful.

I'd love to, but Va/DC is a bit far for me. I'm only in range between, say, Boston-Philly. A NYC meeting would be great!

Not that I'll be attending, but Roy's Place in Gaithersburg, Maryland is great. 200+ kinds of sandwiches and a nice selection of beers.
