I know this has been posted about before, but I saw the Passion of the Christ last night and all I can say is, damn....

I cried almost the whole way through. And I'm not religious.

Smiley: frown

Is that Jesus thing still around, I thought it was just a fad that would fade out after a while.

It's gone on for 2000 years now.

Best. Fad. Ever.

You know, Tare, I never went to see it for just that reason. I was sure I'd be a mess afterwards, and really, what's the point? I know guilt is at the core of the Anglo view of religion, but where I was raised it's just understood that you try to be a good person and that's that.

That and wearing white frilly dresses at four different points in your life. That's important, too. And pictures of saints on your rearview mirror.

So did you walk out on your knees, praising Jesus? Are you worried that Tare, Jr. will be the next Pope?

Gotta love how some peoples embrace their beliefs so fully. ;)

Around here its people with saints painted on the tail gates of their trucks. I never did understand why though.

Al'Katie, you poor, poor, spiteful *****.

I don't have an avatar of you up, neither does Flea (she actually has nothing to do with any of this, you're just so sad and pathetic that's the only thing you can think of doing)

I can see why you'd want to keep a picture of Flea though, it can be a very nice goal for you should you ever get enough money to get head surgery. See how her head isn't fat and round? Yeah, that's normal.

You should seriously consider turning your husband in, there's a huge reward for his capture.

Don't worry about what will happen to him though, there's a bunch of virgins waiting for him.

heh heh heh. I've lived all over the world, been brought up in a catholic family, attended catholic school...etc. And I've learned one thing... it suuuure is a resilient little cult! What if the Vatican emptied it's entire treasury, coffers, vaults...the whole deal. What if it could afford to wipe out world hunger? What if it could wipe out half? Should they is not the question and a fruitless debate. Would they if they knew they could...there's the the thought food.

That's easy.

No.

Gotta save that money to relocate/defend pedophiles.

Hardly. I really had no religion at all in my upbringing. My parents are atheists. It's never been a part of my life. I cried all the way through because I felt bad for Jesus. Any living thing that got tortured and treated that way would have affected me. If it were the passion of Willy the Orca Whale I probably would have cried even more.

Not bloodly likely, unless they start making girls popes. Smiley: wink2

I'd like to see them get an orca on a cross.

Damn it, Tare... when did you find out the Tareling was a filly instead of a colt?

Grats on the BJ, Skeet!

How would anyone get jiz on their upper lip anyways? Lower lip and dribbling off the chin, sure...

I guess we'll just have to wait until Al'Katie logs back on to explain that one for us.

At the last ultrasound, the technician called the potatoe a "she" twice. Not conclusive evidence, but good enough for me. I had a feeling it was going to be a girl anyway!

To be explained in the hit single "**** Control" on The Artist Formerly Known As The Artist Formerly Known As Prince's next album.

Thanks, Varrus. Do me a favor, will you? Leave the Giants off your list. They have a pennant race to win, and I have a feeling Bob laughs at most of your prayers.
