It's okay for them to involve each other. I've actually asked Skeet not to be so mean to Katie in the past, and I've tried to be nice to her when she wasn't being narrow, so I don't see how it's okay to drag me into their mutual mud-slinging. You're mistaken to believe that Skeet and I represent the same things just because we happen to be involved in a relationship.

That's right. Skeet. I could care less, I just want to be left out of it. I only respond to Katie when she attacks me, and sometimes not even that, since I see Skeet's taunting of her as a sort of cruel joke, nothing personal. I don't like her criticizing his looks, obviously, since this is someone I love. I don't feel I am fair game. You do. Matter of opinion.

I see what your point is. I assumed that if I didn't use Katie's pisture to denigrate her, to make fun of her appearance, then I would be accorded the same respect. I also assumed that board hangers-on would not jump on it in a sort of gang pile-on, and I was wrong as well. My family doesn't read the board. It upsets me that I didn't want my picture posted, that I allowed Skeet to do it after much convincing, and that I was wrong not to go with my gut. I understand how this is no one's fault but my own. However, since smaller things have been banned from the board due to an individual complaint, I am also assuming I am afforded that same democratic priviledge.

For it to be democratic, however, there'd have to be a vote of some sort. I think you meant 'priviledge on egalitarian grounds'
