I think we're at cross porpoises Tare.
I'm a linguist (was) as in scholar of languages, rather than linguistics. Dabbled in the latter, but not an expert.

I think Mrs Smash might be more use if she's not busy cleaning the computer monitor from foppish hair swish-marks.

So what aspect of linguistics exactly are you studying? Purely English?

Now if you're studying post-natal ****** techniques I'll leave the light on with the door off the latch.

Ahhhh, I see. That's much cooler than linguistics anyway. Never change, Nobby!

Yeah, English Syntax is the title of the course. I'm toying with the idea of doing my Masters and keep taking the odd course now and again that might prove to be helpful later.

I find it makes me wobbly bits sweat too much, and makes embarrassing farting sounds when I'm trying to negotiate with ministers.

A little talcom powder applied before wear usually helps keep the sweating down and help keep the wobbly bits dry.

At least that is what I've been told.

It's ok. I'm sure Prince Charles was wearing rubber underpants, too.

Wouldn't be easier to leave the latch off the door? I mean that's kinda extreame and all just to keep it unlocked.

Correct. Also helps to be able to get in and out a lot easier, as that **** is tighter than all hell usually. Any clothing whose care is simply armor-all is awesome (what the fetish shop owner recommended... I laughed my *** off.)

If they're hard to get off, you can always use hand lotion...I saw that on TV once Smiley: wink

A cunning linguist eh...What the hell is that? So they're going to teach you how to twist words to mean what you want them to? Sounds like an attoreny or politician.

Varus, I would expect any wit to fly completely over your head. So thanks! No surprises here this morning! Yay!

If Varrus got something remotely witty, I expect it'd throw you into early labor.

I'll keep you posted on that, but I'm feeling smugly confident that Varus can barely understand the dynamics of wiping his own ***, let alone any wordplay that might pop up on this forum.

Nice try, Dracoid, but he'll never get it. His next post will be along the lines of "Oh sure, Draced, I have seen you debat and it sux. Your a pinko commie ****."

And correction: You are a sad, clownish, misunderstood balloon animal maker. Smiley: smile
