Anyone watch the Canada/US game last night? I liked the look of both teams - nice rivalry, fun game to watch and just enough fistiecuffs!

I miss hockey. []

Canadians suck at hockey, right? And your beer is not good, is it?

No!

We're very protective of the weed, and the beer, and mad cows.

Were you even watching the game princess, the Americans were outplayed, out everything. The score should have been 5-1. If the damn Americans knew how to play by the rules. They must have payed the reff for some of those calls. They didn't want to be embarrassed so they just starting fighting with us. We beat them in that too, plus the American team is slow. There playmakers are too old on that team.

USA won't make it to a medal game, well mabye bronze but definitly not gold. They will get their asses handed to by Sweden. But Canada sure did look good, to bad their jerserys were the ugliest pieces of **** I have ever seen.

Everyone that likes hockey better be watching because I have a feeling it will be the only GOOD hockey we will see all year.

The Canadian Jerseys were replicas of the outfits worn by the 120 Winnipeg Falcons. Paying homage to the first Canadian team to win an Olympic gold.

While I too found the colours a little off, I found it particularily neat that in this day of super stars, million dollar contracts and a whole lot of "hey, look at me!" - that the players of the canadian team played the game without their names on their shirts. All it said was "Canada".

The game was ok, little bit slow. I hope the quality of play increases a bit over the tournament. I love international hockey, big rinks, less violence, and piles of skill. I'm sure they just need to warm into it.

go canada go! (vs Slovakia this eve)

This should just show the NHL that they seriously need to rethink their rules. The Olympics, played by the same all star players under international rules, were incredibly exciting hockey. Last night's game was the typical clutch and grind NHL game. I love hockey, but man this really pointed out why the NHL needs to change their rules.

Actually, international ice lends itself very well indeed, to playing the trap.

I have seen many seriously boring games on international ice, it all depends on what systems the teams play.

Philly/Jersey is always going to be a snorefest Smiley: wink.
