Until I see you putting your life on the line daily for the rest of the world, I dont think you have the right to degrade our service men/women what ever their beliefs lean to.
we have every right to degrade our servicemen based upon their personal beliefs. should we degrade their service itself? of course not. serving in the armed forces in no way entitles you to spout dumbass views without getting called on them.

Quite a few servicemen become so due to the lack of job/educational opportunities in their areas (so they're not the most worldy folk to begin with), and while they may become educated later, it would be naive to think that the armed forces don't mold their thinking. I have nothing against the military, but I do hate people that suck and swallow the general party line, whatever party that happens to be.

I have a brother-in-law who is the same way... He sends me pro-Bush stuff, anti-Clinton stuff (still!), and some basic patriotic and religious e-mails. Some of the religious stuff is good, but the rest is the same simplistic crap we've all come to expect.
Oh, yeah - MLM stuff, too (multi-level marketing). Buy our product and become unbelievably healthy! Enter our downline and become rich! Usually decent but esoteric vitamin combinations at incredibly inflated prices designed to make the founders of the company and their select group of friends rich. He keeps thinking he'll get in at the beginning of one of these groups and make millions! I have forbid my wife to join... We did a study one time how much time and $$ went out versus how much came in. Game over!
