Why I admire...Follow

Feel free to do your own. Just give a couple of reasons why you admire someone. My first pick?

Rush Limbaugh.

After numerous Rush references and a bit of soul searching I've come up with several reasons why I admire Rush. Some of these are legitimate, most are tongue-in-cheek (not Rush's fat cheeks, either). They are also in no particular order.

1) Rush. His name. Also, that it's a drug reference has always amused me. It became even more amusing when he became a filthy addict.

2) A fat guy railing about personal responsiblity for one's situation is always quite amusing.

3) He married an aerobics instructor. It didn't help.

4) The Rush Limbaugh tie business. Power ties... in bad taste. The only way this could have been better is to have Ray Charles pick out the colors. Then again, maybe he did...

5) The television show. Eqaul parts Morton Downey Jr. and Coprock (Morton Downey Jr. for the content and style and Coprock for the sheer wrongness of ever creating a pilot much less a show). Seriously, how did this fail??? I always half expected fans screaming "MORT! MORT! MORT! MORT!" and then singing a stanza about life as a blue collar worker trying to make it big in the city.

6) Donovan McNabb. Rush may have only been right about one thing in his entire life and this was it. McNabb is an overrated player who will never win a big game.

7) A bad back? REALLY??!!?! I'm so surprised. Aerobics instructor wife + fat *** = bad back. It's a true scientific formula... look it up.

8) Femi-****'s. I love that term. It's offensive on so many levels. But you know who are particularly pissed? Real Women ****'s. Helga and Eva are really pissed about this...

9) Whatever you want to say about the guy, he has the loyalty of a puppy. I mean, if you have to kiss Newt Gingrich's *** and then try to help cover up Newt's shortcomings in his personal life. That's loyalty.

10) Blind faith in the cause. There are a lot of people in talk radio that simply pretend to be conservative but really aren't at all(for Moe, Jason Lewis for example. Nationally, I'd say Hannity is a decent example). They saw the opportunity to gain fame and fortune by being the "over the top" Reactionary talk show host. Rush was a pioneer of this. However, I honestly think he *IS* stupid enough to believe the shit he spews. I guess ignorance and blind faith are commendable attributes... most GOP'ers commend Bush for those same values.
