Look, I know Totem is a rabbid Bush supporter, but there's no need to belittle him.

Just wondering what the point of it was.

If having a point was a prerequisite for posting here youand gbaji would have been filtered out eons ago.

I don't really care all that much about what Bush says, Im far more interested in McCain's speech and Schwarzenegger's. I know I might sound like a complete whacko saying this, but it is my deepest hope that McCain and Schwarzenegger represent the future of the GOP and that the religious right whackos will get washed out....eventually. I'm tired of the Democrats taking the Heavyweight Champions of the Youth belt all the time. I think a little moderation will be good for my party of choice.

You should be a Democrat then. If you're more intrested in the Republican's who espouse the Democratic platform, why are you voting for the party of creationism in schools?

Sadly, I have to choose the lesser of two evils. I am actually quite conservative in my views and my preffered model of government. I think if the Repubs could ever wash out the retards that use god as their excuse to do whats right and do whats right because it is right then I'd be far happier. Look at Schwarzenegger and McCain as perfect examples of what a republican should be.. I don't believe in radical swings in the system, just people who love it enough to want to improve on it. Socialism fixes nothing. I'm definitely not a proponent of class warfare. I'd pick ANY candidate who proposed a flat tax. That will never happen with a Dem... it just won't.

The Democrats also really insulted my sensibilities by being all over the air accusing Bush of politicizing 9-11 yet inviting Moore to the Democratic Convention... That did very very little to inspire my trust.

Like a ballanced budget, fiscal responsibility, etc?

You should be a Democrat. Unless you have some sort of "drop dead" issue that ties you to the GOP like abortion.

I'm looking forward to aspirative assonance and Synecdoche. Bush is always good for that - Ooh! and Solipsis too.

That and ramming his foot so far down his mouth, his Boxers get tangled in his socks.

I have a feeling what we'll hear will be along these lines:
Dubya's next address wrote:

Words cannot decry how much admirification I have for all you posters on the message boreds.

I know that you wonderful white christians have the appreciatory thinkfulness to understandify why we had to despair war upon those godless towel-headed Belgians who flew into the triplet towers all those years ago. I know also that your intelligentiary wisdomification will bring me back for four more years of Socialistified democracy.

If you doubtify my intentionalism, just ask those Afghanairians who now rejoicify under the Demographic leadership of a properly appointed US Oil Company Executive who has our, I mean, His country's internets at heart.

May our brave boys and grills out there in Iraqsville continue to enjoy the supportification of almost 10% of the free world, and let's hope Taiwan maintains the efficient production of those value-for-money body-bags in which our brave service-folks will return.

Our next erection is only a few short weaks away. As Bob is my witness, I'll fight to ensure that no pinko-commy-*** Vietnam Veteran is allowed to degenerate my brave efforts as a basketball coach in Texasia while he was playing Purple-Heart Pogo with some Asian guys in Veterannam.

There may be those who decry my worthlessness as an armpit of the chosen worm, but I will tell you this! May Bob strike me dead if the free world doesn't not fail to not implement a negative failure to find a positive outcome to not achieving the absence of not delivering Demography to the brave victims of Sudan Hussain in Idaho.

God bless Amnesia.

Smash, we can definitely agree on a balanced budget... I think the War on Terrorism is definitely in the Republican's corner though. I know my ideology towards the Middle East is mainly in play here but I'll take a stab at explaining.

For years the Islamic World has been trying to unify under one flag or one leadership. It has been the dream of the beurgois (sp) for a long time that they would be able to unify their countries much in the same manner as the European Union has. In a sense, one of the biggest problems we are having in stabilizing Iraq is due to insurgency. The insurgency is such a problem because for years Saddam was able to nut in our (US) face and the U.N. By avoiding sanctions and shaking his fist at the west he became a hero of sorts to many. It's no big secret that he was a murderous tyrant, but at least he was an "Islamic Brother" to them. An Islamic Brother who was able to flirt international law for years under Clinton and the EU. So, a lot of people make the claim that Iraq had nothing to do with the War on Terrorism when in fact, it did. Notice how people haven't talked about "the Islamic Bomb" for at least a year now? We have proven that we can hold the Middle East to international mandate whether or not their ***** is enlarged by oil. Iran and Syria are shaking in their boots at the idea of Democracy spreading to their neighbor. As long as we prevail in establishing some sort of stable non-theocracy in Iraq we have derailed the mechanations of YEARS of dictatorship in the region.

Now, do I think that this is necessarily right? Nope, in my heart not really. I wish this country would embrace alternative feul research like we are sending a man to the moon back in the '60s. Until reliable technologies like nanotechnology can ensure that our road cars aren't lil Hindenburgs in the hands of the average driver though this is a necessary evil. We have to do business with the Middle East despite the fact that they would like to watch us fall into the ocean. Once we have our infrastructure switched over to more "green" technologies then they can take their oil wells and drink it for all I care. I look at Bush as a necessary evil for the times we live in. I would vote for Kerry in peacetime but we are in an asymetric war. It's going to take a tough sunuva that the world fears to pull us through these dark times. I think Kerry would represent too much of a political coup in this country when we need to show stability the most. Besides, he has a utopian concept of foreign policy at best.

The youth of America have seen the light, they know that the dope smoking hippies of the sixties that have become todays Democrats are the cause of the moral decay of our country and there is youth in this country that are willing to speak out against ******** of believing in one thing and supporting the total opposite.

Much like Kerry on Catholicism and abortion.

Having actually watched it, instead of reading the Drudge headline, I wasn't surprised to see the Bush daughters roundly booed when they showed up on video and then the boos stopping when the Kerry's spoke.

Wow. Lookit that! I just mentioned this very behavior in another thread.

You keep pretending that the entire platform of the Republican party consists of just a few things on the far right of the spectrum Smash. How's that working for ya?

Liberal or conservative, I'm glad to see that MTV is fighting political apathy and putting their money where their mouth is. I'm impressed. The last thing MTV wants to do is spend thousands and thousands of dollars for airtime just to get booed but they did it anyways. That's a step in the right direction.
