The diffrence being, I'll actually watch his speech and comment honestly on it, as opposed to your ilk who will bash Kerry's speech without even seeing or reading it.

I think we can both agree, that Bush isn't a great speech giver, so I think the expectations have allready been set exceptionally low by his own party. It'd be almost impossible for him to give a speech taht will play in the media as "a failure".

The spin will almost certainly be that his speech was "adequate".

I'm much more intreted in seeing how many brown people the GOP trots out this time around before they go home to tell their illegal Equidorian maids to get the white suits with the hoods laundried.

I'm hoping he calls a few more countries out. Can't wait to see what the new and improved axis of evil is.

Don't forget steroids - he needs to reiterate how evil they are, like he did during the state of the union address.

Whew, I am so glad that pressing issue has been taken care of. Thank you GWB!

Well let me comment on the fact bush beat out ann richards for govenor of texas and she was one of the best speakers ive ever heard. Maybe (and, im going out on a limb here) just maybe words arent everything. god bless the man, you cant have it all.

And i think the equadorian maids comment laundering the kkk outfits was a little out of line. everyone knows the best maids come from paraguay, and mine knows how to do the laundry herself, she doesnt have to have it done. besides, with all of the rallys going on this day and age, there is bound to be all sorts of mix ups and the goddamn cleaners.

and lubriderm, i hope to christ you are canadian, cause you sound like one.

Reminds me of this:

Quote:
"The little missus was away at a Tupperware convention, so I had to do my own laundry,” Klansman Arnie Stevens told reporters outside his house in Pigeon Hole, Oklahoma. “But I’m not used to washing clothes, and they say this has happened because I didn’t separate my whites from my coloureds. A Cincinnati Reds tee-shirt must have gotten into the wash, that’s why my robe turned pink. This just goes to show that segregation is the way of the Lord. In laundry and also in life"

Stevens was speaking after trying to attend a Ku Klux Klan rally, dressed in a pink hood and pink robe, and being ordered to leave. “I only have one robe and hood, so I had to wear them. But the others told me to go home immediately, because they said pink made me look like a ******. Unfortunately, my fellow Klansmen judged me solely on the colour of my robe. But I can’t help what colour my robe is, can I? It’s what’s inside that counts.” Maryland Live Journal, 27/5/04
(Source)

Gotta love the It’s what’s inside that counts comment!

The spin will almost certainly be that his speech was "adequate".

One of my friends was asked how her copy-writing skills were during an interview. She was searching for an adjective, got a bit flustered, and chose "adequate." Then there was the requisite embarassing silence.

She still got the job, but I just thought it was funny.

Nah, you've got to dry-clean those things to keep them white. Blood just doesn't come out in the laundry.

So I'm not the only one who noticed this in the 2000 convention?

The camera kept panning to and pausing on every person of color they could find. It was very odd.

I don't know what you're talking about but seeing as I've been to more than one of his speeches and everyone of them Bush has the crowd eating out of his hands it's fair to conclude you're smashed.

I would expect it to be decent but not great. Much like Kerry's speech.

I'm supporting Kerry, but in a nation of 300+million people these are the best that we can come up with? Kerry will be a good, but not great, president. Bush is an unmitigated disaster, however.
